Similar thing also happened to me. For me it was more a classism thing than a "she's not hot enough/rich enough" thing; DH comes from a blue blood family and I come from the "wrong side of the tracks". I don't dress like a hooker and I'm an educated and independent woman, but hey even if I did dress like a hooker, so what? I actually don't even know who Lauren Sanchez is, but the amount of jealousy that this thread demonstrates towards her makes me think she's doing something right!

The fact that you're attributing it to jealousy seems pretty anti-woman to me. Who TF wants to boink Jeffy B, that smug, self-indulgent exploiter of the people who make his wealth possible? I assume the original question was whether this supposed genius was any different than any other guy who falls for a woman whose chief talent seems to be getting prominent rich guys to go for her, and the answer is no.

I agree she’s got some of the worst plastic surgery I’ve seen; but what really turns my stomach is the fact 2 families were destroyed. Money doesn’t make up for the heartbreak of losing your family, for kids especially.

Then Camilla became a convenient mistress option because a) she was from his social circle, b) she was a married woman, so it was easy to sleep with her knowing that she wouldn't demand commitment from him, c) she lived near the house he shared with Princess Diana, and d) she coddled his ego.

There's no deep connection between Charles and Camilla. Charles is a notoriously jealous and selfish guy. He was VERY insecure about Princess Diana, who outshone him in every situation. He's even reportedly threatened when William and Kate get better press than he does. He chose Camilla because she'd never outshine him, and she knows how to butter him up and mother him. They have a truly pathetic connection. Insecure man-boy Charles, and insecure manipulator Camilla.

I don't pretend to know what Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez see in each other. Apart from the ageist, classist, and weirdly sexist comments in this thread, there may be some fair criticism too. So who knows?

Whatever it is he’s seeing she’s apparently helping him make financial decisions. I just saw an oldish (2 month old) interview with CNN in which he gives money to Dolly Parton’s charity and he and Sanchez are being interviewed together about how they as a couple made this decision. Not unlike old Bill and Melinda Gates interviews. There was no reason to have Sanchez sitting next to him in this interview if he didn’t consider her a life partner and not just some girlfriend.
