When you have to rely on hapless Tammy Derenak Kaufax to second your appointment, you should know you’re not off to a great start. |
Keyes-Gamarra just made a motion to delay the vote. |
Keys gamarra minimizing the leak. Ridiculous. She just wants a black person. That’s not how to pick a superintendent. I can’t believe she is causing division when rwnj cause enough.
A bunch of left wing groups objecting based on a leak and made up leaked info by the NAACP is not a reason to torpedo a selection. |
Black students make a small percentage of black students. Why does gamarra and Anderson think FCPS must pick a black superintendent?
|
It’s such theatre. Cohen and Tholen and perhaps others doing their “on the verge of tears” routines but this will go through exactly as expected for Reid. |
Poor Michelle Reid. Welcome to the sh*tshow. |
Good lord, why would anyone on earth want this job? |
Can you imagine if they reopened the search like the NAACP wanted? No one would apply after what gamarra did to Michelle Reid. |
After all this emoting we can expect Reid to focus on basically nothing but equity initiatives for her entire tenure and academics and operations in FCPS will continue to be neglected and to decline. It’s all about emotions and feelings. |
Logan should sue the NAACP for the mess they created for her. |
The best thing is watching Sujatha Hampton melt down on Twitter. Spoiled little baby. |
Here's the problem of public transparency re: hiring a superintendent: you can't publicly parade the candidates around b/c they have current jobs (it's not like SAHMs are sitting around applying for superintendent positions) and the optics are so so bad if/when it looks like they have 1 foot out the door. How do you go back to leading your system if all of the stakeholders of said system know that you were trying to leave. It's a Catch-22, and a terrible conundrum. There's no way to have it both ways. |
Exactly. It has to be confidential. Something those objecting can’t wrap their heads around. |
Exactly. This 1000%. |
Poor FCPS. We’re stuck with another crappy superintendent. |
