Lockdown at Blair?

The only way you can justify your views is to claim anyone who challenges you all belongs to one big collective blob that all thinks alike. Sorry, no, you are just dead wrong.

You're in for a surprise, though Virginia flipping really should make it less of a surprise. We've had enough.

MD is not Virginia.
Maryland has hardcore Dems while Virginia has newcomer Dems

Sure. Justify it any way you want. We’ll see how things go in the next election.

I am a voter who used to regularly vote for the Democrats. The Democrats have gone SO far off the rails, that I can’t see myself voting for one in any upcoming elections. We need some changes, especially locally. And the ‘progressive’ hypocritical racist nutcases like Jawando are the worst.

You wonder about Jawando? The Jawando who didn’t make it through the hiring process for the Montgomery County Police Dept due to his psychological testing? He’s had an amends against the police ever since and has used the power of his office to cripple the department.

There's no data that supports my assertion because there have been zero SROs charged with assaulting a student in MCPS for no cause.

There is no police brutality because no police have been charged with brutality is not the convincing argument you think it is.

What about the MCP who got caught on camera screaming in the face of a 5 year-old last year? Do they not count because they weren't SROs? They also were not charged, because it is basically impossible to charge police, nor were they disciplined.

oh so one bad apple means we should get rid of them all? I knew you were going to bring up this strawman argument. Gosh, I could say the same thing about certain groups because of one bad incident.

Next time your kid needs a cop to help them, make sure you tell them not to call the cop because they are all bad. See how that works?

Um yeah if a company is selling apples and some of them are poisonous and they don't try to get rid of the poisonous apples then hell no I am not eating any of those apples.

And I am sure as f^ck not giving any of those apples to my children.

so, along those lines, if one black kid did something bad to your kid will you make sure your kid never interacts with a black kid?

You won’t get a response to that. Obviously.

Anyone? Anyone?

No one is hungry for your racist troll bait.

I mean I actually did respond to that but the trolls don't know how to respond to the fact that Black kids get arrested when they commit crimes (and also when they don't) but police officers are totally unaccountable for their actions while in uniform. Police officers are part of a union, Black kids are just people (I know that may come as a shock to some people here).

Why would I trust anyone who is a part of a powerful organization that protects criminals within their own ranks? Same reason I don't trust the Catholic Church.

As soon as that is mentioned the trolls just ignore and respond to other posts because they are gutless, pathetic excuses for human beings.

Some police officers are not held accountable, others are. There are bad people in every profession and some get away with crimes and others don’t. But, right now we have to focus on student and staff safety. There have been too many incidents at several schools and it’s time to stop this social experiment before a student dies.

There are known and extreme protections for police officers that allow them to literally get away with murder. I get it, you DGAF. I do, and don't care if you want to distract from how absurd and racist the PPs I am responding to are.

You know who else has protection from killing people?

Doctors.

Should we get rid of them too??

Holy false equivalencies, Batman!

We had a doctor do something extremely unethical that has life long consequences. We reported it to the hospital and medical board and courts. There was zero accountability and they just lied despite the clear evidence.

Bottom line is we support the idea of rooting any bad apples out of the police departments. We don't support handing law and order over to Dad patrols in our schools with 2 and 3 thousand students. The fact you people would even suggest dad patrols as a viable solution to assault with a deadly weapon is why we aren't voting for you anymore. I'm getting out of the clown car. Sorry.

How many parents do you think we could get during the day every day all day. Very few. It’s not a bad idea just not a viable one.

Jawando claimed racial profiling when an Asian police officer pulled him over:

Oh, and Jawando handed the officer an expired driver's license...
