I don't think it's because she's attractive.

I think being married to Anthony Weiner is a big part of it, and basically being Gal Friday to Hillary for so many years (bill Clinton officiated her wedding ceremony. They were just very close and I think people assume she knows where the bodies are buried).

She's the living embodiment of the collateral damage from being close to power.

+1 I find her glamorous and fascinating but also a cautionary tale. She was Hillary's heir apparent. She was featured in Vogue. Her wedding dress made her look like a princess. She was set up with her husband by the president, and at the time, Weiner was being compared to Kennedy. They were the most promising political couple in America. And their romance was so American-- he a new york jew, she a Muslim midwestern girl, both making the world their oyster.

Fast forward and it's all a nightmare for her. I still get chills thinking about her standing next to him at the press conference for his first sex issue. She was being both the good wife and the good employee by keeping all her pain inside and making herself small.

This was her mistake. Trying to mirror Hillary when she should have dropped him as soon as she found out.

Shows how selfish she is knowing what Hillary was up against. Though it was Hillary who should have reassigned her, but once again it showed Hillary has poor judgement. And was best she didn't win. In fact, she should have gotten rid of Bill long before she ran. People didn't want him back in the white house with all his sex scandals. A lot of smart people are often downed by poor judgement in life.

The world found out Weiner was cheating in 2011 when she was pregnant. She knew about his sexts long before then. If she didn’t leave the first time everything else that happened is on her.

Yes plus she should have gotten her child away from the sex offender.

I hope the child has supervised visitation. I would assume that to be the case. This guy is beyond groooss!

Probably been done to death but I felt really bad for her that she's been duped into believing that Weiner has a compulsion and she hopes her kid will thank her one day for helping his dad.

Just holy lack of boundaries Batman.

I also happened to hear it (had really no opinion about her at all going in) and found it so, so scripted. Meaning her, not the show itself.

She sounded like the standard political type whose every word is controlled for PR effect. I found it painful to listen to.

What is 1A ?

Daily NPR show covering a host of current issues - it's on from 1000-1200 on WAMU:

I guess she sounded scripted during the political parts, but I found the parts about her family (of origin) sincere. Her description of her co-parenting relationship with Weiner was cringeworthy. He has her snowed and stuck.

I really wish Rasia Iqbal from BBC could interview Huma. She is fantastic and would never let Huma get away with the nonsense about the kid and the dead.

Lol. Yup. Gotta get another South Asian to interview her.

Anyone else wonder if her sister leaked her pregnancy? In the excerpt in Vogue, she wrote about asking her sister to bring her a blazer to cover up her 8-week pregnancy because she didn’t want anyone to know. She hadn’t told anyone except Weiner until she told her sister. Within a day or two, sources close to her had told the NYTimes that she was pregnant. The timing is suspicious.

she is striking. a big difference from beautiful. women from many areas of the world have an advantage with long thick hair and derive most of their beauty from that. some people look much better on camera than in person. jackie kennedy was striking but not beautiful. i have seen some downright hideous candid photos of jackie and do not understand why she is considered such a great beauty. more the aura surrounding her i guess. hair has a lot to do with it. if everyone was bald, the true beauties would be very apparent

You go on and on every page, but no she is nowhere striking. Average and that's not the subject of this thread.

Jackie was also average, but above average in looks for a first lady. Again who cares as it's not relevant. If she had a ounce of integrity she would have long ago divorced A.W. The fact she is still married to the creep is a red flag about her. Writing this book only embarrasses her further.

It's one reason for sure. Along with the emails, and the Comey announcement just before the election. However, Trump campaigned much harder than Hillary. He smartly kept going back to the rust belt whereas Hillary didn't. Many people switched at that point.

Yes I don't find her attractive, and playing a victim is always unattractive... Apparently there's a fan of hers on here that keeps falsely proclaiming she's beautiful, lol. Still she could do far better than A.W. which was really trolling the bottom. I find it humorous she went on phony MSNBC of all places to promote her book. They are the Enquirer of cable news along with CNN.

Lol I'm guessing you never worked in book promotion.

The only thing that would make her book interesting is if it was a devastating, tell-all behind-the-scenes look at ClintonWorld, which is all she has to offer and which she would never do. She wouldn't even say the name of the Senator who made a half-assed attempt to sleep with her.

What interesting accomplishments would a former aide actually have? Why is anybody paying attention to this nobody?
