Yes, you do. They give a scholarship offer, but Financial aid isn’t part of the calculation— if you are a financial aid candidate you probably haven’t been jetting around the country on the club lax scene.

Scholarships for lacrosse are divided to 1/4 at best. But to your question, you NEED to have the affordabilty convo with admissions and coach. They will work with you, but you need to be happy honest and ask to talk to admissions for a pre-read.

Wait, the player can talk to admissions for the pre-read? I thought the coach worked with admissions on the pre-reads. That's how it worked for my kid, who was recently put on pause because admissions said grades weren't there.

I think that was meant to infer the same thing. The coach sends the kid to admissions for a pre-read.

From what I've seen the finger-pointing has been directly at Pride recruiting (deserved). Not sure which posts reflect excuses, finger pointing or venom at Capital - but I guess you have a problem (AND WANT RETRIBUTION). I suspect a lot of girls are happy to be playing on the 23 Pride team. Creepy of YOU to try assign merit to their decisions. But congrats on the 3 goal win. Bonkers good.

There is no longer any debate. Capital has proven its dominance in the DMV in one fell swoop. Any pretensions Pride had are over. In fact, with the ‘23 class, Capital has proven it is the equal of the top Baltimore clubs too. Class of ‘23 commitments are better at Capital than any Baltimore club except perhaps Skywalkers and that’s highly debatable.

It’s not about any games or scores it’s all about commitments and Pride isnt even in the game. Poor girls. Pride owner and RD have completely let them down. It’s shameful but a clear message to the upcoming classes of ‘26 and ‘27.

Just saw that va metro committed another D1 player, this time to Lafayette. Not sure 100% what’s going on with Pride and don’t know the whole back story, but seems weird. Congrats to all the girls who committed to their respective schools.
