Scratch that. Saw false info. |
Battlefield has graduation today and can’t play |
I thought it was if the girl falls down and throws her hands up in the air it's a foul! |

Don't forget grabbing their pony tail and goggles and dipping their head like they got a mystery tomahawk to the head. |
So it’s sub par coaches when they lose but great players when they win…
Obviously you don’t have a clue about organized sports… |
Girls lax needs a few referees on the field, maybe you should take a few courses… oops it’s easier to look from the sidelines and think you have a clue which you obviously don’t.
It’s a foul when the whistle blows and hopefully for all that doesn’t happen very often. Move your feet to get a charge and don’t cry when you get bumped. Hope they are good games and refs are invisible. Also parents quit crying!! |
Let me be real clear about oakton coaches, it’s sub par and has been for over 6 years. That’s a fact coming from current players and parents and past players and parents. Just ask your daughter oakton mom. Trust me when I say that the players know way more than the coaches.
They win because of the players themselves, not the coaches. Don’t mean to offend any other coaches in this board as there are some excellent coaches out there that do a great job with the players. |
Dang! What a revelation high school girls /players know more than anyone… coaches included… my teenagers have always told me that! You sound like another solid expert … maybe throw in your hat to coach!! I agree players have to execute…but as always it’s the old adage blame the coaches not the players or the parents. By the way parents who should have had more influence on their kids since they should have spent more time with them. But based on your comments, I can see why less time at home would be better. |
Anyone for a score fire tonight? |
You obviously can’t read because no one is blaming the coaches for losses or wins for that matter. It’s a very simple statement, some coaches think they can coach but in reality don’t understand the game. Any parent of a current oakton player should ask their daughters if the coaches actually coach. I think you would find the consensus is, no, and you probably would get more info than what you asked for and not in a good way.
So for the pp, why don’t you go talk to a current oakton player, then you will get the truth. And o by the way, this happens on a D1 level just to compare, to many stories out there where players transfer because they get nothing from the coach and the coach doesn’t understand the needs of the players. |
What I read sounds like a whiny parent who taught their kids how to be whiny! I did ask a couple of players and parents and guess what… revelation. They all had great things to say about coaches…. And most of their teammates!
Players I talked to said ones who are whining are probably not starters or if they are…think they are better than they actually are and/or parents think that as well…. anyone you know? TALENT PREVAILS! Oh and those D1 players who transfer are used to quitting or just not able to compete… probably learned that at home!🚁 It’s a team sport and the several D1 coaches I know… probably opened the door for them….and wished them good luck! |
Give me Oakton to win 9-7 and Battlefield to win 14-10 |
Go Cougars!!!!!! |
Is it possible that games will get cancelled tonight due to the air quality issues? Seems like lots of schools are cancelling outdoor activities, but not sure how readily this happens at the high school level. |
