Yes. But not until map 7 woth the school board final map vote. |

Just take Sydenstriker to Shiplett to Burke Lake, or go out the other side of the neighborhood onto Lee's Chapel to Burke Lake. You would never need to pass WSHS to go from that neighborhood to LBSS. >>> You are not looking at the correct neighborhood. There is only one entrance/exit from this neighborhood and its Huntsman. Use the 7100 Jenna Road Address to confirm. I just used google maps and it takes me directly past WSHS |
Your second point on White Oaks doesn't stand because affected families bought into an elementary school that is a center, so they were never going to have kids at two schools if the older ones get into AAP. |
| Those WSHS families slated to shift to LBSS are idiots for buying a home thinking boundaries would never shift. Maybe sue your realtor. |
You're behavior is rude, and below you. Do better. |
But the Lake Braddock bus that drives through your neighborhood to pick up AAP kids does not go that route past WSHS. It goes the Burke Lake route. An equally closest high school and middle school to that Jenna Rd neighborhood is South County. South County is only 3.8 miles from that neighborhood, the same driving time as WSHS and a faster driving time than Irving. |
I don’t think it does. It’s pointless to discuss Scenario 4 for Chantilly and Westfield, as they will be severely impacted by KAA. On the other hand, it would be unfair to discuss KAA with only Chantilly and Westfield parents. IMHO, this is poor planning. |
The whole thing is poor planning. We have such an educated, accomplished, affluent community. How on earth did we end up with such incompetent leadership? |
| I feel sorry for any kids whose parents are giving the grandfathering argument of not wanting kids at two different schools. I'm sure those younger siblings would want to go to high school with all their friends who are rezoned, and not to the old one alone just because their sibling goes there. |
| Is anyone else unable to make comments in the boundary explorer tool? |
Someone should introduce to the Critical Path Method in project planning.......it's been around for a very long time. |
The White Oaks families in question are LBSS either way. |
Did you try on a computer? Worked last night. |
Oops, maybe you meant the older kids, but didn't 2 older kids stand up and say they wanted the same school/choices as their siblings? |
It’s not working on mobile or desktop. I’m wondering if they’ve reached their limit for entries. |
