Political Discussion
We all need to take responsibility for injustices of the past that STILL result in inequalities today. |
| As a Catholic, I understand that the media was overly harsh on these kids and blew things out of proportion, however I'm more disgusted by the reaction of the Catholic Church in KY after hearing they purchased the hats for the kids and are now extolling their behavior. Yet another example of do what I say, not what I do in the church. |
That is violation of non-profit restrictions. It should lose their non-profit status. https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/charities-churches-and-politics “Currently, the law prohibits political campaign activity by charities and churches by defining a 501(c)(3) organization as one "which does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office.’” |

The above report contains some important factual information for all to see, and determine for themselves exactly who needs consequences. |
Are you two clinically insane or just congenital liars? Net neutrality is a progressive position, *you* vote for those who want to control content. Tim Wu says, get his name out of your mouth. |
It’s very possible they are both INSANE and LIARS. Likely I’d say. And STUPID given their limited understanding of the internets. |
#1, no one cares what you think I sound like. Except maybe all the others you hear in your head. I suppose you can all reach some kind of crowd consensus. #2, the Catholic Church is the people, not the institution or the leadership. People who are neither corrupt nor abusive. You're certainly free to be an anti-religious bigot in America. That's your right. But don't think you aren't recognized as such and dismissed as the hateful cretin you are. |
Ideological control of the web has nothing to do with net neutrality. It's more akin to having things you don't want others to see, suppressed. Like how a previous reply to your post deleted, despite not being a violation of forum rules. It just rubbed someone the wrong way. As will this one, most likely. |
Touched a nerve, huh? |
How so? Just calling out the stupid, lying nutjobs with a cup of coffee.
|
Of course the Catholic Church is the institution & leadership. The diocese put out the statements. Not “the people”. |
Apparently. |
Off to pour myself another cup of coffee. You morons are very entertaining. Share another one of your conspiracy theories. Those are good.

| Mr. Phillips is clearly a left wing radical who should have been arrested for trying to disrupt a Catholic Mass in session. |
