OUR DYING PRIVILEGE!!! Wah!!!

You do realize the facial reaction is in response to some dumb question from a Dem Sen. But whatever - continue with your thrill for the day.

Oh those mean Dems!! Poor babies. You win but you still are unhappy. Boo-f*cking-hoo!!

Ugh. Tillis.

Utter b.s. about all the chances the Dems had to investigate the claims against Judge Kavanaugh.

Why does it matter that the investigation wasn't done in the past? Why not do it now? Why not?

Oh, good god, he's an embarrassment.

Am I the only one who has to make dinner and help with homework? How are you all still watching?? (I’m jealous, not judging.)

Kavaugh is sober and became angry and belligerent with the lady senator.

So just take a week and investigate. It's a lifelong appt.

1. The short soundbites being played on the news are not as damning as watching him for hours and hours. Average Joe is not going to get the full impact that the highly-interested, inside-the-beltway types are getting. Plus, it seems that he has toned things down a bit, which is good because normal people (who can't watch the hearing at work) are just getting home and tuning in.

2. The GOP doesn't want their base to turn on them. They fear that possibility more than the possibility of losing some moderates or enraging liberals, who disproportionately live in already deep-blue states and districts..

3. Most importantly, they fear that by not confirming him, they will be opening the floodgates to more of these kinds of allegations about skeletons from the distant past. They will view this as an important statement that "this sort of shakedown won't work." Basically, it will be about survivalism.

I’m afraid you’re right. I was not sympathetic to Ford at all but Kavanaugh has acted horrible.

I agree this is likely and it’s very very sad.

Everyone. He has also refused to answer a lot of questions.

By contrast, Ford answered every single question put to her. No obfuscation. If she didn't know the answer, she said so.

I’m not defending his interruptions Ds are also cutting him off and not letting him answer and they didn’t do that to her (and neither did Mitchell) - which was good them

Totally a Booker fan! Kavanaugh is an empty windbag.

So Dems had this info way before and chose to hold out to drag it out. Awful

He keeps going off topic. He avoids the question and goes back to his talking points.
