“I got into Yale Law School!!!!!!”

Dude, I’m a YLS alum and that’s the first think I’m going to shout if I’m ever pulled over by the cops or otherwise encounter law enforcement or questioning of my character.

I missed it. He interrupted Klobuchar and then who else?

Yes. Go back to the list. There's a woman judge who is a moderate conservative on the Seventh Circuit, Court of Appeals, that I think would be more palatable to the Democrats. I forgot her name.

Judge Dianne Sykes.

So the Committee has a prosecutor interrogate the victim, but not the accuser. How is that fair?

OUR DYING PRIVILEGE!!! Wah!!!

You do realize the facial reaction is in response to some dumb question from a Dem Sen. But whatever - continue with your thrill for the day.

All these Republicans are telling us that this hearing "is the investigation" and Kavanagh is here answering all the questions the Dems want to ask. If that is the case, then why didn't any of the Republicans believe Hillary when she was answering questions about her emails/server in that hearing????

Was there a question Mr. Tillis or do you just want to rant? He's commenting and has not asked a question. They must have agreed to yell for 5 minutes.

Dems deify a worthy Ford.
GOP base doesn't want Ford shredded, so GOP goes after Dems; Kavanaugh goes along for his sake.

Hill lost but she's lauded. Ford now follows in her footsteps -- while Kavanaugh follows Thomas in his.

Both parties get a base boost.

Everybody gets something, not without scars.

Only real threat to this outcome is Trump.
Maybe Collins/Murkowski but doubt it.

I think he will still be confirmed for three reasons:

1. The short soundbites being played on the news are not as damning as watching him for hours and hours. Average Joe is not going to get the full impact that the highly-interested, inside-the-beltway types are getting. Plus, it seems that he has toned things down a bit, which is good because normal people (who can't watch the hearing at work) are just getting home and tuning in.

2. The GOP doesn't want their base to turn on them. They fear that possibility more than the possibility of losing some moderates or enraging liberals, who disproportionately live in already deep-blue states and districts..

3. Most importantly, they fear that by not confirming him, they will be opening the floodgates to more of these kinds of allegations about skeletons from the distant past. They will view this as an important statement that "this sort of shakedown won't work." Basically, it will be about survivalism.

Tillis thinks shouting and over emphasizing enough times will turn a lie into a truth

Diane Feinstein should announce her retirement when this is all over. And I say that as someone who lived in SF when she was mayor and has always admired and supported her.
