Here’s why: if you know anything about Prince Charles upbringing his father was very harsh with him. I don’t think he could ever truly drop the hammer on either of his sons. He controls the Duchy of cornwall which is where most of the support for Harry and his family comes from and I think his plan to “streamline the monarchy” was basically meant to cut out his siblings and their children, not his boys. Similarly, he’s not going to potentially put Harry and his family at risk. People keep saying well Diana didn’t get this blah blah blah but a lot of your mothers in laws wouldn’t pay a dime towards your security...i also think that since Philip has retired Charles has stepped into the family enforcer type role that Phillip previously had (evidenced by him forcing the Queen to sideline Andrew).

I personally think they might retain use of Frogmore either for free or for a cheap fee. And I think they will likely retain the titles but I feel slightly less confident about that.

I just don’t see them leaving Harry with “nothing” (other than his $40 million) because presumably they will 1) want to create the appearance that they are all unified 2) Harry spilling 35 years of their secrets to support himself.

Frogmore isn't even that expensive. It came out in tonight's documentary that its market rental value is 5,000 pounds. So they could swing it even if they had to pay for it.

Which is precisely why I think the Sussexes were shafted. Andrew's paying 10,000 pounds a month just for Beatrice's St. James Palace apartment.

What documentary are you speaking of? I'd like to see it.

It's called 'A Royal Crisis'. Aired on ITV tonight and they put it together in 2 days after Harry's big announcement. O.O

Well, Harry's 93-year-old grandmother is the Queen who let her courtiers cockblock him after she agreed to see him.

Oh, and stood by while her press crucified his wife. But she's ALWAYS ready-and-willing to assist and protect a pedophile.

Mamas ALWAYS coddle their boys. Look at yourselves.

I'm sorry I'm not protecting a son if he's a - rapist, pedophile, abuser, or murderer.

He can go to jail.

The only reason Andrew wasn't in handcuffs in NYC and only had his trade ambassadorship stripped is precisely because the Queen is protecting him.

Please name some mothers who reported their criminal sons....
The sick love affair most mothers have with their boys starts in toddlerhood, and it never quits.

Yes, I remember that. It even made the news!

That car ride was meant to show that the BRF doesn't care about Andrew's victims. Did the job.

They will appease them to keep them on a leash. They are a liability and have shown their hand. Charles is a softie but the firm comes first.

Mommies care most about their little (and big!!) boys. Look around.

Call me when Meghan starts selling lipstick for personal profit.

Here's a hint though - she's already into fashion collections as a royal. They all survived.

In fact, so is the Prince of Wales and all the profits are going straight to his foundation. Again...everyone lived.

So why not just keep doing that?

Maybe, but they don't have the future of the monarchy riding on their actions.

What Andrew did is going to come out at some point.

Young people hardly know who Diana was btw.

Right? And they certainly don't remember her history. If she hadn't died when she did, she would not be remembered the way she is. She was on the fast track to being seen as a floozy shacking up with random rich guys floating around on their yachts in the Med looking for the next Mr Right. People were watching the downward spiral. And she was younger than Meghan is now when she died.

I don't think that's accurate at all. In that last year or so, Diana was really coming into her own, and it was exciting to see. Public opinion was pretty polarized in favor of Diana and against Charles (and Camilla) at that point.

The fling with Dody didn't really do much for her.

It was a tiny blip that most people hadn't given much thought about until she suddenly died. If she hadn't died with him, I'm not sure how much people would have been all that aware of it.

To be honest, it's difficult to predict how the whole Diana thing would have aged.

The very Frogmore cottage that just had several million pound in renovations is worth 5k a month in rent?

It’s a blog used primarily by white women. For many reasons it’s difficult for this demographic to relate to Meghan. Plus, acknowledging the racism she faces is very uncomfortable for them which explains all the posts claiming it doesn’t happen or dismissing any all examples as “not really racist.” Those picture and posts comparing Meghan and Archie to animals were just jokes! They don’t really count. It’s not like those reporters work for a reputable publication like the BBC or anything... Oh, wait...

Nailed it.

Yes. You know why it’s so little? It’s in middle of nowhere - 40 minutes from London and is only 4 bedrooms.

It cost 2 million to renovate because it was in terrible shape, subdivided with no modern amenities like central heating and air - all of which to be put in. I have to wonder if it even was hooked up to a gas line.
