Good to see they're actually beginning to implement this at the GA cup. It'll be interesting to see how it expands.

It is an affiliate of Sporting KC it looks like "Sporting City", the wording makes it a bit confusing.

From my understanding the professional MLS team (Sporting KC) actual girls program is Sporting Blue Valley, who is ECNL, however their boys appear to be MLS next b... makes you wonder where they will end up?

They were in the GA in year 1 (as well as ECNL-RL) after the DA folded, then went full ECNL. The GA still follows all former member clubs.

It looks like they only did friendlies and played tournaments from their website FAQ about the
Girls academy event status they had this year

So is it the club sporting city that is ranked around 570 as a club in the ranking app, played in the heartland league, has only 1 team or so at each age and was shutout all 3 times at the GA showcase for a total score of 0-12 (2011’s)

Or is it sporting blue valley that is 74 in the ranking app, played ECNL, and has a bazillion teams at each age?

It's whatever team/club Sporting Kansas City puts their weight behind. This was obviously setup so there would be options available.
