There are hundreds, maybe more than a thousand, highly intelligent, experienced, deadly serious and honest Democrat-oriented prosecutors and civil trial attorneys who would have done this trial for little or no pay. This entire disqualification catastrophe would never have happened -- even a relatively unintelligent, inexperienced prosecutor would know not to hire their married lover as a lawyer, let alone the lead lawyer, on this case bc of exactly this disqualification circus.

Willis was not “selected” to handle the case. She’s the DA for Fulton county. She is the only person in the world who has authority bring state criminal charges for crimes committed in Fulton county.

Willis CHOSE to bring this case. And, some wonder what role the WH had in encouraging her to bring charges considering the background of Jeff DiSantis, the Deputing DA and spokesperson for Fulton County.
There is nothing illegal about Trump urging Raffensperger to investigate the election results especially considering the shenanigans that went on the evening of the election.

Trump was caught on tape telling him to find more votes. You’re insane PP. Trump is guilty AF. The election was clean. Your guy lost. Don’t let him drag you down into thinking otherwise. You look like a total fool.

Votes or illegal votes?

Exactly. "Find more votes" = do a recount and investigate the shenanigans.

A 4th recount after the election results were already certified? Come on, you know what “find” votes means, especially given that Trump specified the number he needed them to find.

getting back to the subject at hand...

Excellent. Meadows wants it to go to Federal Court where they defer to him because he’s an informant. He’s holding out hope that Trump will be elected and pardon him. Also Federal prisons are nicer than Georgia prisons.

This is getting shadier for the defense

So basically they have this guy, who said on the record that he was speculating, and they have a former friend/employee who was fired and has an axe to grind.

Seems pretty flimsy.

Actually, they have text messages that show his testimony yesterday was...... ahem..... less than candid.
The judge has those text messages too, no doubt.
So, his evading and "speculating" comments were all about protecting his own ass.

And, let's also not forget the cell phone records.

Or maybe he was lying to the defense attorney and had to recant what he texted because he actually was speculating.

People who have issues with others can get caught up in the moment, but when you actually swear on a bible (or whatever) and are sitting in a witness stand, things can get very real.

He had no proof and chose not to lie on the stand.

Is the GA bar the easiest in the nation? How are so many of these flunkies even licensed attorneys?

So, he lied about his friends and then tried to cover that up by claiming he was "speculating?"
Things get real for sure. So, instead of admitting that he sent the texts and knew about the relationship well before March, 2022, he said, "he could not recall" or claimed to be "speculating."
The state's attorney's and their friends seem like a bunch of crooked, unexperienced rubes.

The state's attorney? Have you lost track of who is who?

This was supposed to be Merchant's best defense for her guilty guilty client, to disqualify the DA. But she was never going to be able to make it happen. There was never a conflict of interest. And the silly theory that she hired him to take her on cruises on the taxpayer's dime, well, that was always laughable.

May not have planned it, but that is what happened. Suspect the tax payers in Georgia are not pleased that it happened.

Defendants have no leg to stand on and have no evidence of wrongdoing by Fani Willis.

Holy smokes! Did I read this right? Terrence Bradley was forced out of his partnership with Wade after accusations of security assault and then went straight to the Trump defense to get some kind of payback? And THAT was supposed to withstand scrutiny????

Thread of text messages between Merchant and Bradley.

Just read a few of them and then try to tell us that Terrence Bradley was truthful and candid on the stand yesterday.

The thread is 20 posts long. I just posted the first 4. They get better as the thread continues.
