That was before the fear of God was put into him by those who would have been impacted by his testimony.

There are hundreds, maybe more than a thousand, highly intelligent, experienced, deadly serious and honest Democrat-oriented prosecutors and civil trial attorneys who would have done this trial for little or no pay. This entire disqualification catastrophe would never have happened -- even a relatively unintelligent, inexperienced prosecutor would know not to hire their married lover as a lawyer, let alone the lead lawyer, on this case bc of exactly this disqualification circus.

Agreed but most people here are so blinded by their hatred of Trump that they cannot see this.

Yes, it sucks that the two lawyers engaged in a consenting relationship. But this is all the defense has to go on, because they know the facts and testimony of those who turned states evidence make them toast.

The Trumpers don't want you to focus on the original case and crimes involved.

Yes, it was bad judgement, but let's not lose site of why this is happening. It is mucking up the works to hide the actual crimes that took place in 2020.

But most people have also heard the phone call. And after all the prosecution's work most people have (or will) hear much more.

It says a lot that the defense hasn't come up with anything better to use

Willis was not “selected” to handle the case. She’s the DA for Fulton county. She is the only person in the world who has authority bring state criminal charges for crimes committed in Fulton county.

Correct. This kind of commentary is common from people who might be smart but don't actually understand the thing they are discussing. A chain of assumptions and you end up with this. Sigh

Willis CHOSE to bring this case. And, some wonder what role the WH had in encouraging her to bring charges considering the background of Jeff DiSantis, the Deputing DA and spokesperson for Fulton County.
There is nothing illegal about Trump urging Raffensperger to investigate the election results especially considering the shenanigans that went on the evening of the election.

Trump was caught on tape telling him to find more votes. You’re insane PP. Trump is guilty AF. The election was clean. Your guy lost. Don’t let him drag you down into thinking otherwise. You look like a total fool.

+1

Everyone knows this, including Roman and Merchant.

Except for PP who is foolishly gullible.

Votes or illegal votes?

Exactly. "Find more votes" = do a recount and investigate the shenanigans.

So gullible. Or trolling? It's hard to know anymore whether people are really that stupid or are disingenuous.

How do you explain the fake electors or illegally accessing voting machines?

This is not true. The Trump campaigned officially requested recounts. Georgia performed two automated recounts and one hand recount. All results came within about 6% of each other. The original tally dropped from just over 12K advantage to Biden to just under 12K, by about 800 votes. The state performed an automatic recount and then two additional recounts AT TRUMP'S REQUEST. They performed a second automated one and then a hand recount. The secretary of state's office had already responded to multiple state groups including both chambers of the legislature with a point by point refutation of the arguments that former President made and after the refutation, both chambers approved the official total and authorized the secretary of state to confirm the election results.

Go back and read the transcripts. The former President is making wildly unconfirmed accusations and trying to pressure the secretary of state to perjure himself. The president makes multiple allegations and when the secretary of state says that they have refuted each of these points to the state Senate, the former president then tries to pressure him that he was wrong. If the secretary of state was wrong, then he would have perjured himself before the state Senate and could lose his job. The former President then tries to put political pressure on the secretary of state to make him change his sworn testimony and word.

This is not a simple request for a recount. That was already done. You need to read the transcript about what was actually said and then put it in context of WHEN this all happened.

Here's the transcript for those who have not read it: https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/03/politics/trump-brad-raffensperger-phone-call-transcript/index.html

LOL, no. He specified the exact number of votes and if you actually listen to the recording you know exactly what he is saying.
