Battlefield
Madison
Oakton
Robinson
Woodson

I really do think that any given day, any of these teams would beat the other.

Agreed -- right behind these five (1-3 goal differential) are some really good teams such as West Potomac, Yorktown, South Lakes, and Langley that are very competitive but fall a little short. Strong top 10! It has been a great year in 6A.

Only team missing on this list is Centreville and possibly West Springfield (see LaxNumbers). Once you get past those two team now looking at Colgan, Westfield, Chantilly, and Champe. Nice list of top 10-15 teams.

Cosby is top 15 on that list too !!

Do you ever post anything else? Just because you continue to post the same crap doesn’t mean it’s true. Some of those teams are not close to the Top 10.

You are an ass. If I could veto your posts, I would.

My bad -- caught me in a bad moment and felt like complaining. Will try to be more objective on this board and back it up with facts.

The analyst over at FanLax has a similar list -- love his Top 15 each week during the season.

He tends to get it (mostly) right

Madison even vs Robinson.

How did you come up with this set of lines? Didn't Woodson just beat Robinson? Didn't Madison just beat Oakton for the second time, and already beat Robinson in the regular season when they weren't playing nearly as well?

Oakton -3 vs Woodson
Madison -3 vs Robinson

No opinion on the other side of the bracket.

I will eat my crow on the Madison line. But got the Oakton line right.

Congrats to Robinson. Played hard. Proud of the Madison team and season.

We will see if the Rams can handle Oakton now. I'm guessing that Oakton's battles with Madison have them well prepared to weather another tough game with Robinson, before beating Battlefield for the State Championship.

Not a goalie Dad, but have to acknowledge 2 outstanding games by the Robinson and Madison goalies. I'm certain that both goalies had several more saves than goals allowed.

Madison goalie kept her team in it, combining with some high effort defense to hold the Rams scoreless for almost 15 minutes after Robinson went up by 2 with 5 minutes to go in the half.

Robinson goalie turned away multiple great looks from a normally sharpshooting Madison attack in the final 5 minutes. Great game.

Madison’s habit of playing down to lesser opponents is what ended their season. Their coach pulled out every trick possible when they faced Oakton (face guarding, playing keep away for 10 minutes), but apparently was too complacent against Robinson.

Just curious on the comment about Oakton nine coaches… how many unforced turnovers did they record…how many 8 shots did they miss? I was told by a friend that Oakton should have won by at least 10. Robinson will take advantage of this sloppy play… Should be interesting since Oakton nemesis was defeated… will they bring intensity?

Every trick possible. LOL. You can’t make this stuff up. 😂😂

Those aren’t tricks. It’s just normal game play.
