What? Pence was the currently serving governor of Indiana who had spent about a dozen years in the House.

But people talked about him like he was a boob, and still do. I think it’s a mistake to underestimate him. His calm smoothness was an asset in the debates. Kaine’s attack dog jabs deflected right off him. I think a calm substantive debater would do best against him.

I thought he did look like a boob. I'm not sure what you were watching. Kaine is hardly an attack dog.
