There is absolutely no comparison here. But nice try.

I HATE Trump and this entire regime with the fire of 1000 suns, but there is absolutely a comparison here. And if Biden hadn't put us in this position there'd be a much stronger case to be made.

ohmygod you are so boring. Biden is gone, move on. Move on.

We have a demented, impulsive sociopath who has started an unnecessary war, alienated all of our allies, is ruining our economy, and eroding our democracy and you are still talking about a former (FORMER!) president who on his worst day surrounded himself with competent people whom he empowered to do their jobs.

Actually, the fact that the right warned the nation about Biden before the left was ready to admit his decline makes the case to sideline Trump even STRONGER.

It means each party acts as the eyes and ears for the other when they're too biased to admit the truth. Our two parties must rely on each other. We need each other.

The left is now returning the favor to the right. They should heed the call.

This. If you are still talking about Biden you are useless and stupid.

How about we all agree to not elect elderly presidents anymore, especially unhinged elderly people like Trump, so that we don't need 200 page long presidential dementia threads ever again! Ridiculous! Do Better folks.

DP. But it's important to remember how we got here. And if it wasn't for 82 year old Joe Biden's decision to run for reelection, we wouldn't have Trump today. Joe Biden's decision to run for reelection is the original sin that brought the Trump catastrophe. And whitewashing it doesn't do us or future generations any favors.

That's not certain. If he had dropped out earlier and Harris (or somebody else) had won a primary the price of eggs wouldn't have come down. Yes, Biden was old. But Biden, like any president, delegated. And he delegated his authority to people way more competent than Hegseth or whoever the next crooked AG will be.

I’ll pretend to agree with your premise and ask if whitewashing Trump’s behavior and tweets (in which he is threatening a civilization) isn’t a worse evil because he is threatening an entire civilization. That is something Joe Biden never did. He never started a war and threatened to commit war crimes.

THis is a much bigger evil than anything Joe Biden did. Stand up and take control over Trump like the Dems did over Biden.

If Republican voters hadn’t nominated Trump in the primaries, we wouldn’t be here.

That is the original sin that brought the Trump catastrophe. And they did it in 2024, knowing full well what he is capable of.

Democrats absolutely understood Biden’s cognitive issues — perhaps a little too late, but I clearly remember the moment when the overwhelming sentiment among the party was to get Biden out of the race. Republicans would never do that — NEVER — and we are seeing it now. Trump is destroying this country and going against everything the Republicans voted for, yet the Republicans refuse to acknowledge it.
