Fairfax County Double Murder

If only a short time had elapsed from AP and the child leaving the house, to returning, it would be strange to see a car there - it's early in the morning, maybe CB herself was still getting ready.. if i was the AP I would feel uncertain, so calling CB then BB seems pretty understandable. If BB suspected affair going on, makes sense he goes in. As for the child, maybe AP and her entered because she didn't want to be left outside, was tired, wanted to see her mommy again etc? Any number of reasons.. it may not "look smart" but that doesn't mean anything. If this was all part of the plan I highly doubt BB would want his own child to come in and possibly witness it or get hurt accidentally.. so them going into the house just feels like more of genuine concern/curiosity who was at the house and why. As for the AP going to help BB when she heard shouts - panic, shock and fear would erase rationality of taking child out of house. It's very possible she thought she could help and told the child to stay put. Same with BB telling her to get other gun - if he was in shock over the scene and he's shot once, now rushing to CB's aid, I can understand him saying that so a gun is kept pointed at JR since he's still alive.

His gun was right there, in hand and loaded. He could shoot again or hand it to AP. Why get a 2nd from a safe in another room? Because he thought he could skate and didn't want her using his service weapon, he thought he'd just continue w/o disciple and, in fact, did.

Who can count on a 4 year old to "stay put?" AP had to come in house and actively participate so her silence could be ensured. 4 yr old was not a priority or you wouldn't plot to kill and "replace" her Mommy.

First hang up was from basement/au pair suite per his friend posting. Maybe the child was locked downstairs to prevent her walking in on a sexual or criminal "scene?"

"Oh, I genuinely believe there is a home invasion in progress but you want to see mommy? Of course, come in small child."

The story does not have to make sense. As long as she sticks to it and he is silent.

Very hard to put knife in his hand brd.

LE does not believe JR is anything but a victim. Getting BB in front of a jury for more serious charges is still something they are struggling with. The misdirects and weird details don't matter if they stick to them. LE did not believe home invasion, but, took 8 months to arrest AP, and that was mostly out of fear she would flee to Brazil w/new passport.

No. There’s really no reconciling bringing the child in the house.
Bb and APs version of events are such BS.

Per 2 people on this board who were at the hearing in person, the hangup call had a man moaning in agony in the background so... not sure the "friend" has/is giving all the facts.

Prayers for that little girl. Her daddy ruined her life all for what? Some nasty AP booty and saving $ in a divorce?

I bet she is so alone. No one wants a play date with the murderer’s kid.

This wasn’t planned. Something went really wrong that day and it all developed into this that we’re seeing.
Had that all been planned, the AP would also shut up instead of being interrogated for 8 hours that day.

Your logic makes no sense. When push comes to shove and a 21-year-old in a foreign country is being interrogated by police, she wouldn’t know enough to shut up. She was probably terrified whether she was part of the planning or not.

But if it wasn’t planned, why would BB be paying for the Au pair’s attorney? If this was unplanned and she freaked out and shot a man dead, he should be talking to the cops and turning on her so quick to clear himself.

(I don’t know for sure he’s footing the bill for her attorney but someone is and the AP’s mom said it wasn’t their family, so…).

I seriously cannot imagine calling for an Uber and Brandon Banfield’s name and image pop up! I’d love to ask him some questions while recording.

And if it was planned, no way the husband would have involved the nanny. Too unnecessarily complicated and adds a witness/participant with obvious coercive potential given her immigrant status. If this was his plan, far easier to execute on his own.

Because it’s their fault she’s involved in this.
And also, because they became lovers after he lost his wife and she was the only woman around taking care of him and the kid.

And she didn’t know enough to shut up? If he planned something, he would tell her to shut up.

Not saying they’re angels. Just saying I don’t think this was planned as the guesses here. Way too much work and risk.

Wait, you think he’s footing her bill because he feels bad she got caught up and all this!? Meanwhile he won’t even let his in-laws have access to his daughter? That math ain’t adding up.
