How is Chesterbrook neighborhood in Mclean?

Anonymous
We say a house there, it was appealing due to school district, but I am not quite sure about the neighborhood. It just seemed in the middle of nowhere and didnt give me that neighborhood feel. It may just have been because the lots are bigger. also, how is the demographic? I like my son to go to a good school, but I alos want him to be in a diverse environment. Is there anyone here who lives there? what is your experience with neighborhood, scholl, activities that are easily accessible?

Lots of neighborhoods feed into Chesterbrook so I dont know where you're looking. As for diversity, so down the street and look around the Safeway. That's the diversity you can expect at the schools.

Based on your writing, I am guessing that this will not be a good fit.

Based on this post, I'd say bitchy.

I lived there (Chain Bridge Forest off of Glebe) for 7 yrs, just moved a year ago. YOu'll have to be more specific about exactly where in Chesterbrook so that we (or at least I) can give you some feedback. It really depends on exactly where you are.

Mostly white and Asian. Comfortably suburban - close to everything but still quiet. Great schools and local pool/swim club. Good mix of older and younger residents. If you need sidewalks everywhere and houses crammed up against one another to feel part of a community, though, look elsewhere.

Chesterbrook and Old Chesterbrook don't get much traffic compared to Old Dominion or Kirby.

Beautiful area - some of the nicest neighborhoods in the region. Love Franklin Park and some of the neighborhoods off Kirby and Chesterbrook.

16:30, the house we are considering is off of Kirby. We would have to take kirby to old dominion and then GW for commute. I work in old town, so commute is another thing that makes me think twice about the area.

Could do Kirby to Old Dominion to Glebe to Route 1 and avoid the GW Parkway if you'd be traveling during rush hour.

Like that neighborhood. Would never sign up for that commute

Gorgeous, large houses on large lots with great neighborhood community. Commute scared me before we moved but turned out to be a literal non issue (and I commute to the Hill). Beautiful, classic mature trees. Peaceful. All that is McLean and closest to everything. 2 lights from DC. Welove it and couldn't recommend it more.
