So that is what I believe. I believe it happened, that he doesn't remember it. And that instead of saying, 'hey I have drunk alcohol recklessly and I can see in my youth having done something like this and not come close to realizing the magnitude of what I had done' he says, 'I have never blacked out drunk.' He literally cannot conceive of having done this in a drunken stupor. I think he's lying about his drinking. I don't think he's lying about his memory of attacking her. I don't think that person belongs on the supreme court.

This this this. PLEASE don’t confirm this turd.

It’s a done deal. Vote tomorrow and confirmation tomorrow. SO MUCH WINNING!

Agree. This is a he said she said between two Washington raised elites. Most men who never gave a wit about Kavanaugh now think he is a cool dude they want to drink with. Chrissy is that smarmy teacher who pissed you off in class. Big win.

Lol. But sure.

Ford was a great witness and credible, but she doesn’t have any compelling evidence to support her claim. After her testimony everyone thought Kavanaugh was toast. But then Kavanaugh came out with a compelling opening statement, backed up by a little shred of hard evidence (his diaries). But then, with nearly every question he asks, he answers with crazy anger and disrespect to the Senators, and also his answers about high school life are not compelling and he doesn’t come off as truthful.

Bottom line, Ford didn’t make her case but Kavanagh is coming off, at best, as lacking the temperament to be on the SC, and at worst, an angry boozehound rapist.

Ford came off as a mental case. Kavanaugh is coming off as a man fighting for his life.

I wrote the summary and yeah I would edit to say that she was a great witness overall but yes came off as a bit mental.

If it’s a done deal with his unhinged performance, then the GOP is even more a bought paid criminal enterprise than I thought. And since you don’t know me, I’ll tell you that that’s saying something.

Because these senators are asking him holier-than-thou questions about drinking when they are all likely guilty of the exact behavior they accuse him of.

Couple differences between a SCOTUS nominee and Senator.
Senators are elected for a 6 year period of time. SCOTUS is a lifetime appointment.

Seems like one’s lifetime conduct is more relevant to their government job than others.

Get real. You think someone's high school drinking habits should dictate whether they're on SCOTUS? Get a life.

i think if you lie lie lie and refuse to answer reasonable questions under oath, and have a complete meltdown and treat senators asking you questions so disrespectfully, YES it should dictate whether they are on SCOTUS.

Also I can that he is unhinged and that is when he is presumably sober. Good lord. I think he is belligerent when he isn't drunk. He looks more and more like a drunk who would rape someone. Yep.

I 100% believe your lifetime conduct should and must be considered for a lifetime SCOTUS judge. Lots of men go to college and law school, party and socialize, without becoming known to be blackout drunk or an unruly party kid.

I don't believe this persons conduct should withhold them from serving on lower courts, but for our nation's highest court... yes, it's disqualifying.

He's not being accused of having sex. He's accused of sexual assault/sexual aggression.

I’m saying if he wanted to have sex, there were girls who would have hooked up. we were that innocent and inexperienced, and it wasn’t happening. Beer was happening ....... but if sex and if assault was common, I never heard about that and I never heard about gang rapes in our circles.

rape isn't about sex. You know that, right.

Actually sometimes it is. Don’t fall for that bs.

Actually, you are full of bs. Rape is an act of violence, control, and power. No matter how desperate, a normal man would not commit rape. Conversely, many attractive men with more than enough opportunities for consensual sex commit rape anyway.

Ford came off as completely credible. She has nothing to gain from lying. She answered all questions, tried to be helpful to the senators, offered to be interviewed by the FBI, offered a polygraph test to prove her veracity.

Kavanaugh is coming off as someone with something to hide. He is coming off as a liar. He obfuscates, prevaricates, dodges, lies outright. He's come up with some pretty creative explanations for his high school behavior.

There is NO deadline for confirming a SCOTUS judge. The GOP delayed Merrick Garland's hearing for a year.

Did you ever hear about slutty/irresponsible girls who got trashed and had sex with multiple guys on the same night? Because that’s a way gang rape stories sometimes get told.

LOL, I guess Grassley didn't get the memo on the women who recanted from that petition.
