Doubtful. If anyone did that it would have been Jill and would explain what the blow up was that distanced her from the rest of the family.

Highly doubt that. I also doubt she ever knew about the images. Married men with families usually hide this stuff. Even still, it's much more likely that Anna is currently praying to Jesus to save Josh from prison.

I'm confused about why the thread almost immediately turned to trashing the wife/mother rather than the guy just indicted for CP under 12.

Don’t thank me - it was accidental, the child porn allegations were pursuant to a probation revocation on a wholly different underlying conviction. State prosecutors don’t handle child pornography typically - it’s entirely in the purview of federal prosecutors because it’s a federal crime and the penalties are severe. My respect goes to the AUSAs who work in the child pornography divisions of US Attorneys offices nationwide. They look at that stuff every single day of their working lives - and some of them have to go home to spouses and kids afterwards. Brutal.

And some people wonder why lawyers have such high rates of substance use disorder, divorce and suicide. We ain’t all biglaw raking in the cash and enjoying our second beach homes. Not by a long shot.

She's too brain washed and groomed over the decades to turn in Josh (unless it was an anonymous tip as mentioned upthread) and the hard drive, presumably, was on the computer at the car dealership (which is why the dealership was raided as opposed to their residence).

On the flip side, if she did turn in Josh, she would be protected by spousal privilige, no? Or immunity of some sort?

I had a friend who had 8 kids were her abusive exDH. She kept having kids with him because she wanted someone to love and someone to love her back. Also every baby born brought out a “changed man” in her DH. They only got divorced because he was sent to prison for a long sentence. She hung in there for about 3 years after he was in prison before filing though.

Yes thank you PP. I’m just gutted that anyone has to do this job. It’s one of the greatest public services a person can give but because of the taboo we don’t even give the people who do it their due credit.

People are doing both, including bashing both Anna's and Josh's parents. It takes a village to protect/hide this kind of abuse.

I think the whole family knew what was coming. Josh turned himself in after all. They were well prepared for the day. So my feeling is Jill has known about the pending charges for months. Maybe Jim Bob had tried to get a politician friend or something to intervene on their behalf in the past months so the charges would be dropped and it didn’t work ...
