Yes, it affects even taste in Netflix shows.
Netflix did some awesome shows that we got during the Covid, such as Eurovision, The Queen's Gambit, but this is utter rubbish!

Yes!!

This show is just abysmal.

Thank you! I can't understand the bevy of posters that liked this crap! And I love, love, love Pride and Prejudice.

I thought if they made a show about it the book must be good and it was horrible. There are way better romances.

As far as I can recall no one ever mentioned her, except once when someone said that Lady Bridgerton had birthed 8 children. I assumed the 8th child had died, but then suddenly everyone gets excited that their sister is returning...from where? I thought maybe she had married and moved away, but there was no husband.
She was so random

Francesca was in Episodes 1 and 8. During the rest of the time she was off in Bath visiting friends.

Thank you! I guess I somehow missed her in the first episode. She was very unmemorable

This!

I can’t stop rewatching those scenes.

I rewatched his scene with the spoon. You know.. for research purposes.

I wonder how many rewatches of certain scenes there have been - some analytics nerds at Netflix must be having some pretty funny meeting explaining some spikes in the viewing data!!!

Guilty as charged. The duke is smoking. What a smile!

I second that - he’s the hottest actor/character I’ve seen in a long time.

Luckily, Netflix realize there are a plethora of interests out there and no one has to watch Bridgerton if they don’t enjoy it.

There are plenty of popular shows that are akin to watching paint dry. They're still crazy popular. The Office is one such example.

Something out there for everyone, you know?

Friends is another example.

I can bc it’s good covid content. I cannot understand people who need to complain constantly. Like someone is forcing you to watch. The public has spoken, the duke of gorgeous and Bridgerton has helped end 2020 right.

It's escapism, similarly to Bridgerton. Very pretty people living seemingly perfect, beautifully styled lives. Is it all quality TV? No, but is what really what we're looking for?

Yes!! First saw him in “For the People”, another Shonda Rhimes show.

Lots of South Asians, which would make sense since most of the British colonial possessions were in Africa or South Asia, not the Far East.

A bastard couldn’t inherit the Hastings estate or the title like a true born child from
his wife.

I like balance. I try to eat nutritiously and with an eye toward weight loss, managing my IBD and migraines, and hopefully avoiding onset of certain diseases (cancer, CVD, diabetes). But sometimes I also enjoy a fast food meal, alcohol, or candy.

A lot of the shows and movies like The Tudors, Reign, the Spanish Princess, and The Other Boleyn Girl took liberties with historical personages and events, but posters rave about them. Somehow, they manage to suspend disbelief even when we know from history class that things played out differently. No one thinks such shows substitute for a history textbook or documentary.
