Do we need any other reason?

There isn't one. I had the gossip writer figured out half way through.

I wonder if the rest of the men are unattractive on purpose. I find nothing appealing about any of them.

What is Mills and Boon?

British version of Harlequin books.

This!

I can’t stop rewatching those scenes.

I rewatched his scene with the spoon. You know.. for research purposes.

I wonder how many rewatches of certain scenes there have been - some analytics nerds at Netflix must be having some pretty funny meeting explaining some spikes in the viewing data!!!

Guilty as charged. The duke is smoking. What a smile!

I second that - he’s the hottest actor/character I’ve seen in a long time.

The regency muttonchops don’t have modern appeal.

So, I finished episode 3 and have to say, it is as boring as the books it is based on.
I was once an avid Regency romance reader and I am puzzled why they would do these books? I found them boring compared to so many others I read.
I am not sure I will continue. It is insipid to the 10th!

How come we don't have the Dark-Hunters' made into a Netflix show? Now those are romance books to read!
Not this drivel!
Are we allowed spoilers here?

Question: Where was the fourth Bridgerton sister the whole time?? As far as I can recall no one ever mentioned her, except once when someone said that Lady Bridgerton had birthed 8 children. I assumed the 8th child had died, but then suddenly everyone gets excited that their sister is returning...from where? I thought maybe she had married and moved away, but there was no husband.
She was so random

Francesca was in Episodes 1 and 8. During the rest of the time she was off in Bath visiting friends.

Anonymous wrote:I managed to binge this whole thing in a day. My husband watched a bunch of it too. This is based on a bodice-ripper style romance novel set in the regency era. The costumes, sets, and music are amazing. The men are hot. And there is a happy ending. If you like romance novels, you will like this series. Don't bother if you don't like unnecessary relationship drama or if you like to overthink the plot. It might drive you crazy. Even is the hero pulled out all the time, these two have so much sex that she would have ended up pregnant anyway.

Yeah, no. I like romance novels, but this is boring, predictable, corny. One of the reasons I could not stomach the novel either! Plenty of more interesting, less boring Regency novels are there for those that have some modicum of brain!
Oh, no, I will marry him bcs I am a martyr! Oh, I will break my promise and make him give me a child! On, no daddy was mean so I will reject my wife to keep a wow to a dead daddy that hated me! Oh, please!

Plus, how come the duke is not worried about siring a bastard with non-reputable women???

The only character of any interest is Penelope!

If you wanted to like it, but found it boring chime in! It seems to me many have lost any taste due to Covid!
Yes, it affects even taste in Netflix shows.
Netflix did some awesome shows that we got during the Covid, such as Eurovision, The Queen's Gambit, but this is utter rubbish!

He’s the only man with a perfect record with the withdrawal method.
