OK, so pepper spray. The Administration used pepper spray on peaceful protesters. That’s so much better. |
The Police from Arlington that they tricked into taking oart |
Light shines bright during dark times, s/he is a good person to promote that attitude in your workplace culture. Humanity first is safety/security first. |
but, she was also offended that Trump used "our sacred text." Sorry lady, but it is my sacred text, too, and I'm fine with Trump holding it My opinion that it would have been a crying shame if vandals had burned the church down. Apparently, she is fine with looters and vandals, but not a president who doesn't want her church burned down. p.s. people who light churches on fire are NOT peaceful protesters. |
LMAO |
What about people who overturn tables in a holy temple when the entire point of the sacred word is missed? |
Context for our shared sacred text Matthew 21:13-14 The Message (MSG) He Kicked Over the Tables 12-14 Jesus went straight to the Temple and threw out everyone who had set up shop, buying and selling. He kicked over the tables of loan sharks and the stalls of dove merchants. He quoted this text: My house was designated a house of prayer; You have made it a hangout for thieves. Now there was room for the blind and crippled to get in. They came to Jesus and he healed them. |
According to the CDC definition it was tear gas per the WaPo. Tear gas is not a specific chemical, it is a name for a group of chemical agents That cause tears and are used to disperse riots of which pepper spray is one. |
PP here. Thanks for the clarification. |
She's a Christian. She cares more about compassion and understanding than about "stuff." But you're obviously not a real Christian if you don't understand that basic tenet. Anyway, not surprising she wasn't "fine" with a president who fired tear gas/pepper spray/whatever on her own priests in that church, not to mention on the peaceful protestors. Showing up for a photo op on sacred ground is blasphemy. You keep refusing to see the distinction between the peaceful protestors Trump fired tear gas/pepper spray/whatever on, vs. the looters that show up after midnight. You're a true Con. |
+1 WWJD? He would have compassion; shown by the fact that the rector and other clergy of St James, the next day, were assisting protestors by helping as medics and providing water to protestors at the church. People act out if they are hurting. Episcopalians understand this, and they live what they believe. |
What's your source for your claim that every protester lit the church on fire? And how does that even work? |
“This is an awful man, waving a book he hasn’t read, in front of a church he doesn’t attend, invoking laws he doesn’t understand, against fellow Americans he sees as enemies, wielding a military he dodged serving, to protect power he gained via accepting foreign interference, exploiting fear and anger he loves to stoke, after failing to address a pandemic he was warned about, and building it all on a bed of constant lies and childish inanity."
-Robert Hendrickson, Rector, Saint Philip’s in the Hills Episcopal |
They will rot in the dirt just like the rest of us. |
That's really good |
