The first wave is over in NJ, NY, and New England. |
Updated through August 2nd.
The red states now have a 5% *higher* case rate than the blue states. The blue states still have 2.3x as high a mortality rate than the red states...except that was 3x higher on 7/15 and 4x higher on 5/22. https://twitter.com/charles_gaba/status/1290285869308420097?s=21 |
I guess the red states are human after all. I thought the virus might be scared of guns or something like that. |
Look how many blue people are dying. Crazy |
Looks like we're gonna break even, folks! /s |
In February and before, all of the Trump supporters castigated Obama for 18,000 H1N1 deaths. In March, all of the Trump supports said "this is a blue state issue" In August, Trump supporters are saying "look how many blue people are dying" I would note, the very graph the PP cites shows blue states leveling off while red states are still accelerating. Let's see where these numbers are in a couple of months. |
Mississippi just passed New Jersey in cases per capita and is about to bypass New York. Alabama isn't far behind.

Interesting that while we still enjoy the comedy of a few Trump sycophants posting lies on DCUM there has been a noticeable reduction in the frequency. I guess they don’t have the stamina to keep spinning their web of BS. |
Cases again, don’t matter. Deaths matter |
Did you care how many cases there were during the H1N1 pandemic? |
JFC, false. Remember, lots of people seem to be developing very serious complications and no one knows if those are lifelong. |
I guess you don't have young kids that will be missing school this fall? Or any concerns about losing your job? ![]() |
