I see 2 more girls clubs were announced for ECNL...in areas where there is already multiple ECNL clubs
So much for distance between clubs |
| When will they announce pipeline |
| pipeline has been denying they even applied even though everyone knows they have...maybe they're denying because they were turned down? |
|
ECNL is more about the $$$$ now, and the aim is to kill the girls GDA all together or at least dilute the talent at least, so players would not want to play there.
Tough to see Pipeline pull this off especially in the environment we're in now where tryouts, etc is up in the air. |
|
ECNL is trying to kill the DA...it sounds like the DA stepped into a pathway they were not ready for and DA Clubs are figuring that out
Pipeline will save face on everything...look at them settling out of court with Coppermine for millions just so their flock don't get rattled...for money, buy players, buy coaches |
Pipeline (former Coppermine) parent. Everyone in Baltimore knows the Coppermine suit was nothing but a nuisance suit. Coppermine was ticked off because one of their coach’s gave parent emails to Pipeline who then invited them to tryouts — no kids involved even switched clubs. No way that lawsuit settled for millions, there were zero damages, and neither club could afford a million dollar settlement. Coppermine trying to use a nuisance suit to drive a more successful (and much better run, from a parent’s perspective) club out of business. |
Why all the hate for Pipeline? (Serious question-- we're new to the area) |
They are successful across ages and genders, even teaching big fast kids how to play (unlike some NOVA clubs who are great at U9-10 and then drop because they do not develop athletes well). What’s there to like? Of course everybody will hate Pipeline. |
|
Yes it was for millions....Reason, Pipeline sent a inside person to work at Coppermine and steal the soccer data off of the company computer...players did leave Coppermine to go to Pipeline...and they got caught...evidence was to much for Pipeline to fight it
A couple years ago...Pipeline bought a director from another club to bring all the girls emails over to Pipeline Agree, Pipeline is successful across all ages and they do a lot of good things...it is just how they go about getting to success |
Nope that didn’t happen. I know exactly who the coach was at Coppermine, he was a long time employee there. He was fired and went elsewhere but never coached for Pipeline. We already established upthread that no players from the team at issue went to Pipeline. Never heard a peep about the second item, so assuming it incorrect as all your other info completely wrong. |
| Pipeline is a great club but I don't see that they have a strong track record of placing kids at top college programs. |
| millions lol. you all are highly over-estimating how much these clubs have in their accounts. |
|
This wasn't a Team thing...Pipeline was after club(multi teams) info...just like what they did with buying a director from another club to bring over all girls emails(FACT)
Teams leave clubs to move to other clubs all the time....why now a lawsuit and a out of court settlement....it is more than you think or know! The lawsuit started at 10 million...Pipeline came back at 2 million in which Coppermine rejected it...3 days later it was settled...you guess where it ended??? Why settle out of court if the issue was so small...how many other teams and coaches has Pipelined bought? I have heard that there could be another lawsuit against Pipeline coming soon |
Assuming they acted improperly, a good equitable remedy would be providing their own email lists to other area clubs, or at least to Coppermine. |
Isn ‘t it weird how some people just love to make shit up on the internet? No one is paying millions for some emails sent to the parents of elementary school kids. Coppermine is a poorly run club with deep pockets due to its kid gym business. The guy who shared the emails was literally one of their first soccer coaches, must have really treated him poorly. |
