Yeah? What components, exactly?

The Lower? The FCG? The Upper? The buffer tube? The BCG?

Which components, exactly? Do tell!

What I find telling about the ignorance of the gun-grabbers is that they consider a bayonet mount as one of the "evil features" that defines a so-called assault weapon. An M1 carbine without a bayonet lug would be legal under the terms of their proposed assault weapon law. The same gun with a bayonet lug would be considered an assault weapon, and would be illegal.

What I'm wondering is this: What is it about a bayonet lug that makes a gun with that feature so dangerous? How many people in the entire USA have been bayonetted to death in the past 150 years? I would bet that the answer is NONE. But that doesn't stop the gun-grabbers. They'll use any excuse they can to make life difficult for law-abiding gun owners and to grab as many guns as they can.

Why do you feel the need to "grab as many guns as you can"?

How many guns do you own?
How many guns do/did your parents own?
How many guns do/did your grandparents own?

Because they are elitists who are afraid of the deplorable (veterans, blue collar, minorities) being armed.

No, we are afraid of these legends in their own mind who are trigger happy and afraid of their own shadow. Every rabid gun enthusiast is, at heart, a coward with poor judgment. They shouldn’t be allowed to own guns.

The minority comment is hilarious. The NRA and its members, and the GOP would crap their collective pants if African Americans joined en masse and started exercising open carry rights.

That already happened about 40 years ago before the NRA became a Russian-backed front lining Wayne’s pockets and the profit margins of gun manufacturers. But it’s cute how people still think it is a grassroots organization.

What makes them a coward? Wanting to protect ones family is the opposite of cowardice.

Perhaps you feel their fears are unfounded, but that doesn't make them a coward.

sure it does. The cowardice is being afraid of their own shadow. Protect them from WHAT? They see boogeymen behind every corner. BLACK boogeymen!

People are generally poor at assessing actual risk. Conservatives in general tend to be less smart and more fearful. It really doesn’t make much sense to allow them have guns because they will just end up hurting someone (as incidents daily prove).

We can close the thread now, no amount of stupidity, gross generalization, or flat-out ignorant bigotry is going to top this.

You should be ashamed, truly.

Why hold a pro-gun rally *on* MLK Day?

Instead of reflecting on his great work and words we will be worried about more gun violence. It’s disrespectful at a minimum. It’s blatant hate & racism at worst.

Disgusting.

Lol is this your first time hearing about lobby day? I know you hate rights, so I guess we can add the right to assembly to your list of evil.

Holding a pro-gun rally on MLK Day is disgusting. That’s probably a bigger draw to the white supremacists than the gun rights. Have fun with your very fine friends.

Yup. They’re the last people who should have guns.

It may not make them a coward but it seems they are very paranoid and unrealistic. I would wager that very few gun owners have actually used their guns against some threat to their family. It's an imaginary enemy conjured up to justify owning a gun (or ten, or thirty) which makes them feel powerful and in control. The idea that illegal immigrants or whoever is skulking around outside the house waiting to attack and you have to have a shoot out with them to protect your family is a figment of the imagination. Actual incidents otherwise are so few as to be no excuse whatsoever for the average gun nut to be allowed to indulge their paranoia.

You sound absolutely crazy. Like full-tilt nuts.

I mean, I don't want you to stop posting, because it's fascinating, the stuff you come up with. Like, if I weren't reading it, I wouldn't believe it if someone told me second hand.

In fact, I suspect you're actually a pro-gun troll, saying crazy, insane, outlandish stuff like this to make antigunners look bad. But I can't say for sure, because there actually are antigunners out there as crazy as you sound. But I have a hunch you're a troll.

Who are you wackos talking about? Without a quote it's hard to tell. If you are referring to my comment directly above these two you are wrong, it's the first time I've posted on this thread.

The guttenberg printing press was invented in 1420. By the 1500, printing shops were everywhere in major cities in Europe. Rather than spread tolerance and ideas it sparked the Protestant reformation which led to 150-200 years of bloody religious warfare, balkanization of the Holy Roman Empire and sectarian extremism. Death tolls ran around 6-15 million which was approximately 10-25% of the entire European population at the time, countries like Germany lost 35-40% of its entire population.

Darpanet was invented in 1983. By 2010, the internet was ubiquitous around the world. By 2020 it is leading to increasing popularization and violence. Tensions are flaring up in everywhere from France to Chile to Britain to Hong Kong to Virginia, The world is full of tinder and waiting for a spark. Based on historical analogy, We will likely face incredible violence and chaos for the reminder of our lives. Virginia may be the first spark of the conflagration to come. Is your bunker in New Zealand ready?

I don't want anyone to be hurt. When it all comes out why things like this are happening, hopefully we can all heal and see this is not what humans were put here for.

I love my fellow man and woman. Love conquers all the ugliness. Please, show love. Stay home. It's not worth it.

MLK was about love.

Looking at past years, it seems they hold it each year in the third Monday of January. Last year it was on Jan 21, the year before that Jan 15.

I think you are assuming bigotry.

I don't think the PP is hungry for a civil war - she's just pointing out a historical observation that others have made. New communication technologies disrupt society and politics in unpredictable ways.
