I understand the people considering the DC area has a lot of people who do not like Trump. I think people here think he should be impeached and have from day one despite the crimes or lack thereof. But, please make a logical case for why you think 2/3 of the Senate will support this? What you may want and reality are different things. If he is impeached and not removed it provides support that it was an unfounded cheap political attack that he becomes a victim. I think if the evidence of a crime were clearly presented beyond a reasonable doubt, the majority of American would support impeachment and removal along with 2/3 of the Senate.

Right now with the release of the transcript, which is pretty damning, the Senate might actually impeach, out of self-defense. But this was never about what the Senate, PP. It's about standing up for our laws and Constitution, and to have a recorded history that people called out the President on his misdeeds - whatever the political consequences. I hope you can respect that.

Besides all the extortion content, it is still astonishing that almost every statement uttered by Trump was a lie. About Europe and Germany, about the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, about the Manafort case, about Biden, and about anything to do with Ukraine.

There is no way that any of those lies were included in any briefing from the State Department or the IC community or any person in the government who is not his political crony. He is just as willfully ignorant as ever.
