Unexpected parts of becoming a SAHM to small kids

I have what I consider a flexible job. Work from home at least 2 days a week, often 3, sometimes 4. 7 weeks PTO (6 weeks + we are closed week between Christmas and New Year's). I can make my own schedule for the most part, so when I do go in, I typically go in early and leave by 4. I rarely stress about my job or work more than 40 hours a week. I rarely travel.

That my house was only a little bit cleaner -- thought it would always be immaculate.

That our equal partnership slowly turned into more traditional roles.

That you still don't have enough time to do everything that you want to get done.

That sometimes I am embarrassed when someone asks me what I do for a living and will just tell them I am a consultant that works from home in the field that I used to work in.
