What's going on with FCBEscola NOVA?

.dude. We have left a Club for zero of those reasons. We wanted a different type of training/development and style of play. We got along great with prior Club staff and families. Not everyone leaves on bad terms or for those reasons. You are still so worked up. Have a beer, chill out and watch some World Cup, or get laid—whatever it takes. I don’t know why you are so worked up. It’s not good for your health.

You may want to check out Sporting CP SoccerAcadeny Washington DC. They are a newly established satellite academy of Sporting Clube de Portugal and based in Fairfax VA. They will have a Sporting TD living in norther VA over the next few months and currently play in EDP. Hope this helps.

I’d say they have tapped into the people who are looking for something other than the typical DMV Travel experience, and for that segment of people, are delivering. Clearly this won’t be a fit for everyone. There are plenty of people who are happy with their current clubs, despite what is posted on DCUM, and for those FCB is not right. Doesn’t mean one is better than the other. The market is large enough to support different models and frankly the differentiation and competition between clubs is a good thing

My question is how well do they do with the older age groups. As my DD has gotten older, it's harder and harder to find quality opportunities. Older kids tend to drop off and lose interest, realize they don't have what it takes, or maybe even just don't want to dedicate that kind of time. So for this, how old is the oldest age group? (not one outlier, but like a solid group of kids)

Yep, and there is nothing wrong with that either. We pay a small fortune for quality coaching and development. We don't pay to have our kids berated and stepped on, or to be supplemental training for the one "superstar" on the team. So yes, we have a right to ask questions and to look around for a better fit. One of my sons chose a "lesser" club because it made him happier. Yes, they didn't recruit the more "elite" players, but the coaching was actually better. Plus, he was happy. Travel soccer isn't always about the scholarship or the YNT either. Sometimes, they love soccer too much for rec.

Not all ages. They told me they don’t have any girls older than 03s.

I just saw the Barca Academy Nova uniforms for the upcoming season on soccer.com. It appears they chose 2 dark colors for home and away jerseys. Does anybody have any idea why they wouldn't go with one light and one dark jersey to avoid clashing during competition?

FCB teams will be playing in EDP. Older age groups starting in the fall, younger groups in the spring

Yeah, they have to play somewhere to qualify for some of these stronger tournaments.

Wow! You’re at a 10 when all the response warranted is a 4. Just relax.

Besides, it is a legitimate question by the OP.

And you responded.....why? I'd agree with the spaz, why are you wasting your time looking at Unis? Focus on the play and less on the look, typical NOVA parent.

The uniform colors is a practicality question, and likely came from a parent in the program.
