Does anyone know what does teacher sees in a student to get a good GBRS score? I am trying not to work on AAP if I know DS does not have those qualities.

It's on Thursday, April 20th from 6-8 in the cafeteria. So next Thursday. It's for parents and students. Not sure why it's such a secret that it isn't on the regular school calendar. Other schools don't think it's a state secrecy and put it on their calendars.

They asked the school AART for a copy of their child's file.

I wonder if there were fewer parent referrals. The eligible NNAT and CogAT scores seem over all low this year. I don't even think I would have considered referring with these scores. I'm glad they are being more inclusive. I think a lot more kids can handle the AAP curriculum.

I think last year scores came out after referrals were due. This year at least at our school they stressed that you might not know Cogat before referrals were due so everyone should plan to parent refer if interested.

They did not come out last year after the referrals were due. It was close, but they certainly came for nearly everyone before the deadline.

The birth rate dropped 2% in 2008 due to the great recession. And continued to fall through 2011. Maybe there were less kids.

No others have said it's on their schools' calendars. Maybe that's inaccurate, but I think it's silly not to put it on the calendar since it's an event at the school. Seriously, if someone wants to crash the presentation because they are appealing, who cares.
