They will take a lot from the waitlist, don’t worry. They lose all cross-admits to Ivies/Stanford/MIT/Duke/Chicago/Caltech |
Troll response. Their acceptance off the waitlist is around 3%, they don’t have to play the same 3 ED round game as UChicago to fill seats. I personally know students on the current WL who would take NU over a lower Ivy, Duke and UChicago. |
Insecure NU parent response. |
No, it's not. Seriously, are only crazy people on this board? DC would have chosen NU over all those schools too. |
Yes, it is. There are a ton of Northwestern parents on this forum that whine like toddlers whenever anyone criticizes Northwestern. It’s weird, and reveals some underlying insecurity amongst Northwestern parents. It’s probably because Northwestern is your best bet for an unhooked, full-pay “standard strong” kid looking to ED to a school that doesn’t have anything memorable about it. |
the fact that you need to bring uchicago down to uplift northwestern is sooo telling 😂😂😂 it’s okay nu mom! really, it is! we all have insecurities. |
| NU moms wouldn’t constantly talk about and bash UChicago if UChicago wasn’t better than NU. And I say this as someone not affiliated with either school. |
TL;DR “Here at Northwestern, our panties always stay twisted.” |
that’s what it says at the top of the page |
There’s a chart on that page under the how many question. Shows the numbers from many years. |
| I think these waitlist numbers just reflect the increase of applications from high stats kids that never really wanted UVA but sent in an app because there were no supplementals. |
Seems like a large number, but it's only 3% of those on the waitlist. |
The chart of numbers doesn't seem to support that. They go to the waitlist every year. There are three "low" years, but other than that, they make over 100 offers every year. |
It’s a safety for a lot of wealthy dmv kids. |
| Oos full pays probably. Cash em up! |
