The ACC almost fell apart a couple years ago. If ND breaks their relationship, FSU, Clemson, and Miami will also hit the exit.

lol. What other P4 conference teams are they going to play 5 football games with. The SEC, The BIG? lol They would never do that because they would never make a CPS again. They play the ACC because they think that's where they could get their easiest P4 wins against lower tier ACC teams. Yet, this season they thought they would catch Miami early in the season and get a win before they went down the cupcake row of teams. Didn't work out this year. Sorry

Just wait...you will be shocked after noon tomorrow. ND doesn't mess around. They have plenty of $$ to throw around LOL.

Yes, these teams may exit but ND has little to do with it. They already have reasons and all 3 would fit the SEC if Florida and South Carolina didn’t object.

Notre Dame is not in the ACC for football. That is the valuable part of Notre Dame athletics.

In the last game of their schedule, they beat an Ohio State team that was undefeated with no opponent coming that close.

They are pulling the football program and everything else. Extending Freeman’s contract.

I am pretty sure Jesus would say take your licks for not beating Miami and play in the Pop Tart Bowl.

Again, ACC doesn’t have the football. But could they please take the basketball program and shut the door on the way out.

Why not get the US Representatives & US Senators from Indiana get a federal law enacted that mandates that the best college football team in the great state of Indiana must receive a berth in the CFP. Genius idea--right ?

Guess you didn't hear about the MOU that guarantees ND a berth as long as they are at 12 or below starting next year. ND knows how to take care of business. All of this is only going to strengthen them. Watch.

I guess they can just rank them 13 then.

They aborted their season. They should have carried it to term. Hypocrites as usual.

Maybe the CFP should exclude independent football teams.

Please help, what conference championship game did ND win?

Great point.

Again, maybe the CFP should exclude independent football teams for consideration. Could limit consideration to the top several teams in each conference in addition to automatic qualification for each conference champion.

Another suggestion for Notre Dame football:

Since we all know that Notre Dame football is too good for the SEC, too good for the Big Ten Conference, too good for the Big 12, too good for the ACC, and not good enough for the NFL, then why not join the CFL (Canadian Football League) ?

What you guys can't seem to accept is that Notre Dame was considered. They were considered alongside Alabama, Miami, & Duke, and ND didn't make the cut. It's not jealousy, it's not vengeance, it's not anti-Catholic sentiment. It's just that they had a weaker schedule and lost a head-to-head against one of the other teams in a similar situation.

There will always be arguments to be made that a team that falls right outside of the top 12 is somehow getting the shaft. But when you have two losses you have to be prepared to feel that feeling; you shouldn't take for granted that you're defintely making the CFP with that record. I'd feel much more sympathy for a Boise State that went 13-0 and got left out of the CFP due to a "weak schedule" than for ND having 2 losses but expecting their Extreme Generational Specialness to carry them over the finish line.
