What you guys can't seem to accept is that Notre Dame [i]was [/i]considered.  They were considered alongside Alabama, Miami, & Duke, and ND didn't make the cut.  It's not jealousy, it's not vengeance, it's not anti-Catholic sentiment.  It's just that they had a weaker schedule and lost a head-to-head against one of the other teams in a similar situation.

There will always be arguments to be made that a team that falls right outside of the top 12 is somehow getting the shaft.  But when you have two losses you have to be prepared to feel that feeling; you shouldn't take for granted that you're defintely making the CFP with that record.  I'd feel much more sympathy for a Boise State that went 13-0 and got left out of the CFP due to a "weak schedule" than for ND having 2 losses but expecting their Extreme Generational Specialness to carry them over the finish line.[/quote]
