Duke fan not rooting for Miami.

Notre Dame's schedule is too weak. ND did not deserve or earn a CFP invitation.

If the CFP expands to 16 teams, then ND will be included.

If ND had to take the week to week pounding of a Big Ten or SEC schedule, then they would have more than 2 losses each season.

If Notre Dame fails to join the Big Ten, then ND football will become irrelevant.

Notre Dame football is too good for the Big Ten Conference, too good for the SEC, too good for the ACC, not good enough for the CFP, and too good to lower themselves to play in a non-CFP bowl game this year. And not good enough for the NFL. Tough spot.

The CFP expanded to 12 teams & set the current standards primarily to benefit Notre Dame football. And ND football just couldn't make the cut this year. And ND football is pouting and refuses to play in any post-season bowl game. Total disregard for ND fans (I am one & have been for 60 years) and lack of respect for their own football players who could benefit from post season bowl game exposure. Well, KMA ND football. Notre Dame football probably considers playing in a non-CFP post season bowl game as too risky because ND would probably lose a bowl game against a non-CFP team. ND players would not be motivated enough to play well after failing to make the 12 team cut for the CFP.

Nope.You're wrong. ND lost to U Miami & lost to Texas A&M, then played a soft schedule & expected everyone to forget that ND football isn't quite good enough for the CFP this year.
