Her boobs are RIDICULOUS. I'd want her in something that de-emphasizes them. And yes, cover or give her the option to cover her arms.

I liked Anora. It was well done. And I disagree that it’s not about the human condition - from my vantage point it is and transcends a story purely about sex workers.

My concern is that Anora got the attention it did because the sex scenes / dancing scenes were relatively graphic for theater movies. If it weren’t so graphic and these scenes shot to be less revealing and “real”, the movie would not have gotten the kind of attention it did. And this isn’t just bad for women actors, it plays into a mode of “gimmicky” film making that isn’t great for audiences. It’s akin to movies that get attention for the special effects or “realistic” graphic violence versus the story line and acting underneath it.

In sum: Mickey Madison was great in Anora. Strong performance. Good movie. But she shouldn’t have won the Oscar.

I am 60. Agree with much of what you said. But disagree on the arms. That is why older women look so matronly at these events -- they are worried about their arms and cover them. Her arms a great and I think she looks good. Not like she is 20 but good. If you think she needs to cover her arms, got help us and help you when you turn 60! We need to set different standards.

Because she's effectively lost all body fat, her implants look crazy. You need a bit of fat to make them sit more naturally. Right now not flattering to wear dresses with deep décolletage. Same thing with her arms. No fat results in thin crepe-y skin. She campaigned really hard. I think it was a lot of pressure and did a number on her. I'm sorry she didn't win, thought her performance was stronger than Madison's, but she still gets to have all movie promos with "Oscar-nominated Demi Moore" now. That's not nothing. And she should get meatier roles. I hope she takes some time off to rest now.

They played off that poor kid who was a first time winner or nominee and so nervous his hands were shaking life a leaf. I was wishing he had an emotional support dog with him. I think he was from the Brutalist also.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph won best supporting for The Holdovers last year for her beautiful portrayal of an ordinary woman. I loved that movie so much and it did not rely on any sex or outrageous anything.
