Rank the Big 10 academically

Show us on the doll where your kid’s UCLA rejection letter hurt you.

Except it’s a trash academic school all around except for cs. Cmon Washington at least try in the humanities. Given that’s you’re a Washington booster, I’m surprised you can even spell and use grammar. This compounded with the fact that Washington is located in the tech hub of Seattle and Wisconsin in Madison makes Wisconsin’s all around dominance even more hilarious and satisfying.

Washington absolutely shits all over ‘sconsin in all areas STEM, but sure, pretend that it’s the late 19th century and the humanities is where it’s at.

“shits all over”
Thanks mature adult

By the way, you’re also wrong. Wisconsin matches Washington across all stem; engineering, cs, biology, chemistry, physics. Either Wisconsin is ranked ahead in every program ( that is everything I just listed minus cs). Even in cs, Wisconsin is T15, not far behind.

Now take all that and realize Wisconsin has top Econ, business, English, philosophy, history, poetry etc.
Wisconsin can produce lawyers, bankers, engineers, poets, and academics and it’s in Wisconsin ( which certainly is unfavorable compared to Seattle). Case closed booster.

I have a kid at Wisconsin ( a junior). He was able to get a research position with a Princeton professor this summer in chemistry, based solely on a letter of recommendation.

The parents whose kids had to settle for Wisco are really unbearable. I’ve never heard of the most competitive kids at ANY school targeting ‘sconsin, but I guess all of the evidence is must somehow be wrong.

You must not know many UCLA grads. You are way off on the UCLA stereotype too.

This is the same guy from earlier, he’s the same stupid f&@&. And I know it’s a man. Nobody says ‘sconsin. You clearly know nothing about the school.

Recognize Wisconsin is a good school and go touch some grass jeez.

This comment is so far off. State flagships are targeted by huge numbers of top students in their states. At the VERY least, there are lines of in-state valedictorians targeting Wisconsin.

Why do people here write things in an intentionally mean-spirited way? Sorry life hasn't been what you hoped for after graduating from a T10 college or T14 law school but feeling inherently superior talking about colleges is just silly. At least use grammar check to come across better.

DP. What do you mean by the bolded? What does Wisconsin have to do with T10?

I would have loved to have gone to Wisconsin and experienced life in Madison. NU grad. No shade on NU - Wisconsin is a different place and I think it would have been a better fit for me. Rankings are artificial and useless

My niece really wanted to attend Michigan, but had to settle with Northwestern since that’s where she got her athletic scholarship.

Northwestern
UCLA/Michigan
Wisconsin
UMCP
Washington
Illinois
USCw
Rutgers
Ohio St.
Purdue
Indiana
Minnesota
Penn St.
Iowa
Michigan St.
Oregon
Nebraska

When/if Stanford and Cal are admitted (hopefully sooner than later), then of course everyone gets bumped down a notch (with Cal alongside UCLA/Michigan).

This is the most reasonable list. Is there news that Stanford and Cal are joining the Big Ten?

Wisconsin with an acceptance rate 5x higher than USC (among other indicators of the relative standing of both schools), yet you have the Badgers ranked higher?

Need to put UW above Maryland and slot Indiana below Penn State. The BTAA probably has the best order when you prioritize what the Big Ten values - research.
