if you go by lacrosse and other sports:
Johns Hopkins NU Michigan Ucla Usc illinois umd the rest |
lol Hopkins is not really Big Ten. They compete in the Big Ten in one sport. |
Which ones? Agriculture? |
You get points for using NU (people it is NU and has always been NU. It is in the sports chants from the beginning of their sports!) but are deducted points for Hopkins because they don't get BiG10 status. NU UCLA UW (Washington)/Michigan USC (deduct points for campus) All the others Oregon Rutgers (negative points) And massive win for their marketing with the most iconic ad ever. To GoT theme: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Urf7niNI2mQ |
Just align it with USWR and call it a day. |
Michigan is WAY stronger than Washington. For one, you’re talking about 46 vs 21 for undergrad. |
I get it but there is a deduction for Ann Arbor. Frankly UMD should be down with Rutgers for location but I am being kind. |
|
Also UW and Michigan have a similar OOS acceptance rate so rankings are
one thing but getting in and living there are factors too. |
Wisconsin>Washington |
+1 |
Ann Arbor is a great city. I take it you’ve never been there. |
Do you even fact check anything? UW OOS: 51% Michigan: 15% I guess it’s similar if you literally reverse the digits … |
What I don’t understand is why so many top faculty settle in Wisconsin. Like, if there’s any evidence academia is a nutshow, look at all the good faculty in Madison WI. Literally tornado alley, no major cities in the state, no big law or finance. The question is why aren’t these faculty in Charlottesville? UVA really needs to get its research/grad rankings up. |
Your UW stay is WAY off. And that’s the last I’ll say about it because I suspect you’re our resident troll. |
+1 Social work = Michigan CS = UMD And so on. |
