Gosh can these decent geologists fix our earth so it stops having earthquakes? Can these decent geologists make us a new, perfect, earthquake free earth? Then we can all go live on their perfect earth and we can abandon this junky earth that had colliding plates and volcanoes and storms. |
Goddamn you are dense as a rock having been told multiple times in this thread that is not what anyone is saying:
No, it is a complex combination of genetics, environment and many other things we don't understand yet.
WTF kind of horrific immoral insensitive monster are you to suggest someone things such a thing? You are despicable. |
The traditional view of heaven holds that the redeemed in heaven both have free will and are no longer capable of sinning. It has been answered in 4 separate posts in the last 2-3 pages. |
Stupid straw-mans from a fire hose here. No one is saying they can "fix it" - so stupid - but they can explain why they happen and tell you what the world would have to be like for them to NOT happen. You are making up more dishonest BS. We are not here to teach rudimentary science to you fundamental creationist home school failures. Look up plate tectonics and then come back. |
“Nothing at all. I said we can "try" to create a meaningful experience for ourselves, but yes that child likely cannot. It is the proof of the world's randomness.“ posted on the prior page at 12:33, from a secular poster. You and another secular poster have different opinions, and you think their opinion makes them an immoral monster. |
I believe the same secular poster posted this: ![]() They then followed it up by saying the baby could not create anything meaningful from it’s life or death. So secular posters don’t agree on the answer to this question. |
No, no it has not been answered. It is a yes or no question. Just say "YES" or "NO" But I will take your response as a "YES" as it is the closest so far. So we have established things can be perfect and yet still provide free will, since there are none of those horrible things in heaven. Therefore they can exist on the world where I am god too. Argument over. Now I will answer your question, as I promised: No, of course I do not believe in a god, because this simple logic leads to the logical conclusion that it is unlikely one exists. So until someone presents sufficient evidence to the contrary, I will not believe in one. |
Uncertain what your point is. I am the PP who posted the "dense as a rock" accusation (which I stand behind). I did not post the other comment. |
So geologists can tell us how the earth should be formed to prevent earthquakes? Could you give us a quick synopsis of how geologists say the earth should have been created? Like with stronger materials or something? |
They might touch a soul on earth and will be one with God in heaven when they die. |
Another secular poster posted the post you take issue with. They have a different opinion than yours. |
I think some religious people believe that. So far 2 secular posters have posted and they have different opinions; in fact, one believes that the other secular poster is an immoral monster for their opinion. |
Take a minute and go back and read what you typed. You clearly are not a serious poster. If you are this is very, very stupid. Especially since I essentially pointed you to the answer in the post you are responding to. If you are sincere in what you typed, I respectfully and with good intent suggest maybe you not enter into these types of discussions as you are not suited for them and make religious people sound stupid (and most are not stupid). If you are not sincere in what you typed and are just trolling, please GFY. |
So you will use the non-existent God’s example of heaven as how you would make earth if you were a god? Aren’t there any better gods you can copy? And why would you need to copy the example of the non-existent God? You don’t have better ways to do all this stuff? It’s pretty weird you say He doesn’t exist, but say you would do what He does to make the world perfect. |
I have no idea if that poster that typed "Ok so in the secular view, babies die from cancer randomly and their lives mean nothing" is religious or not. They did not state explicitly but it certainly appeared to be a religious person straw-man mis-paraphrasing another statement. I can't prove it but it certainly appears YOU typed it, and if so, you are in fact a horrific immoral insensitive monster. |
