Why did God create pediatric cancer?

Anonymous
I was not raised in any particular religion, but I recently saw a foreign documentary that was filmed about 10 years ago about a 3 yr old boy who underwent tremendous pain and suffering from infancy till his death for pediatric cancer, with chemotherapy, surgery etc. I just could not stop crying.

Many of the commentaries on the video mentioned that God has a plan for him in heaven, but I cannot understand why an innocent tiny human has to go through so. much. unrelenting. pain if they are supposed to end up in heaven with God within 2-3 years of being born anyway. Are these kids supposed to suffer for their parents sins? His parents seemed 100% loving and devoted but I know religion teaches that everyone (at least adults) are sinners.

How do religious people make sense of this? Please enlighten me so that perhaps I'd reach that peace of mind some day.

Cancer is related to God’s will only as that which God rejects and negates.

God sent His son, and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ removes the dark and darkness from life, as light and eternal life are now possible.

Honestly, this is one thing that I struggle with myself.

The last church I went to, the pastor was talking about how the way we pray makes a difference, that there're correct and incorrect ways of praying. I broke down right then and there, thinking that I must not have prayed correctly b/c why else did my mom suffer so much from her cancer and die with such agony and indignity. Then I got really angry at the idea that if you pray incorrectly, God will refuse to listen.

I don't know the answer. And I suspect nobody really does.

It's all related to your karma in past lives, your current karma actions, and the seeds of karma you awaken. Some people are ready or need to suffer more at younger ages in this life based on what they did in past lives.

I asked my pastor something like this as a kid and was directed to the Book of Job. Job suffers a lot. But the Bible says it's not his fault. Not all suffering is a result of bad actions or inadequate faith.

So why are infants and toddlers condemned to a lifetime of suffering only to end their lives short? What is it a result of?

Genetic mutations. Not everything is a deliberate result of a higher power.

I posted about asking my pastor. I found the Book of Job frustrating. I guess the message was that you still need to have faith even through suffering and that suffering can make faith stronger.

I don't think religion can explain everything, nor does it need to. But I'm more into science these days.

Women who died as young mothers get them in heaven.

Either God doesn't exist. Or God is incredibly cruel.

How in the world is this supposed to make any sense? Seriously a bunch of words strung together that are incomprehensible.

My child has been diagnosed with a lifelong chronic disease. I don't understand how or why she's been given this burden and no, it isn't to serve a purpose.

Let me try.

God doesn't really exist in the way people think and cancer is a chain of events that happens inside the body. God does not give people cancer anymore than God heals people with cancer.

Does God dictate the laws of physics or does God follow then? If God dictates the laws of physics than surely we would see miracles that are exceptions. We don't

Or we don't understand God.

Oh these boneheads will give you all kinds of specious nonsensical reason- right up until it's their poor child
. Watch "The Lion in the Room". So sad but so interesting. I will put .y faith in science. It doesn't always work, but it gives you a chance
