What’s local- where does she live or go to school? Generally most in DC don’t consider Heros a local club.

Bethesda. Mark down another DMV player at a Maryland club.

Regarding USF, the University has a medical school, school of engineering, law school, PhD programs in physics and plenty of other hard sciences. Is it Duke or MIT? No, but there is plenty of learning going on there. But while the girls are enjoying the school, lax, and spending their downtime in winter in the sun and surf, we'll be sure to tell them that parents on the DCUM lax forum don't approve, and would much prefer to see them get a degree in grievance studies from Brown. LOL.

Imagine that, going to Stanford AND from a public school...

Really exciting for her! I think another of her Heros teammates from Montgomery County (attends HC) is also committed to UPenn.

While I get the point of "not local," for many in Montgomery County getting to Heros practice locations just as easy if not easier that out to Alexandria for example.

Anyway, impressive accomplishments for clearly great students and athletes. Exciting to see so many girls find the right fit for them.

Bethesda still is in Maryland, isn't it. Really, why is this "a thing" ... Can we all please move on.

The other Hero’s goalie is really good she should be committing any day now.

Capital’s second goalie just committed to UConn, another team that was ranked in the top 20 last year. That’s three NOVA girls going to top colleges who were goalies. So proud of all three of them. Icare what club they played for, I host the DMV area girls to show up strong

Ella and Natalie are both fantastic goalies. Natalie will go soon

Scratch that, Natalie committed to USF

Congrats to all of the area goalies and the latest two commits. Both UConn and USF are Top 100 National and Top 40 Pubic Universities. UConn has a Top 20 RPI. USF hasn’t had its first season, but one has to expect Coach McCord will have them in the Top 20 early.

What did you hear?

I’m sure both goalies will go high D1

One will

On one thread, someone said both goalies will go to big schools. Then, the same person or someone else said at least one will. I have seen both of these goalies play against my daughters team several times. My daughter has played with and against them at different showcases and speaks highly of them both as a player and person.

So, I’m curious which goalie you think would go big out of the two. Because from what I have seen, they will both go to top schools

So, I guess the person who said that only one of the Capital goalie will go to a strong program was wrong. Both of their goalies landed on teams that have been ranking in the Top 20 the past two years. UConn is a relatively newer program to be ranked, but their last two years have been very strong

They are reposting the girls announcements, not announcing them themselves.
I dont think that I saw that last year?
I thought the schools weren’t really allowed to post or tag commits. Maybe it’s the NLI?

Division 1 schools cannot comment on a specific athlete until they have signed their NLI.

They can make vague comments. You will see some twitter posts like "Ding Dong, Ring The Bell, Some great news from Long Island ready to make some noise"

As the PP said, they are literally re-posting a pic of the girls announcement. With her name/IG handle... This is the first time I've seen it as well...

Another goalie & pride player off the board.

How is Cap Orange fairing?
