No one is looking at her race. We look at her behavior and actions. If she were another race I’d feel the same way. My kids go without so she gets a free trip home. |
She has recruiters so she needs to fire and replace them. |
This is her job. While I agree with you it’s not reasonable to demand she move and change her child schools. Many public officials don’t have their kids in public. |
MCPS isn't good enough for her kids? That's an admission that she's doing a crappy job in itself. It's her job to hold kids in a HS because she's stuck in traffic until she has an evening news press conference? I can't call that leadership when worried parents are outside the school wondering why the school won't release their children. Covid? If she was doing her job, we would have had a coherent covid plan in January. Flying off to go "recruiting" so she fill vacancies because they don't want to deal with her policies anymore? She's been a Deputy Superintendent, then an Interim Superintendent. Teachers are the most valuable resource a school has. Educating children is the ONLY reason why MCPS exists. If she hasn't figured that out by now, I don't know how anyone can defend her. She had her opportunity to shine, but instead will be forever known as one of the worst Superintendents in MCPS history. |
"Worst superintendents"? You and your constant trolling. She hasn't even started the job yet. When the press conference was happening, they were still accounting for the kids in the building and getting the transportation together. There's no way that both can take place at the same time? The students weren't left in there solely for her to finish a press conference. Also, every road was closed so whether she was in PG or at Central Office, it would've taken her a long time to get through what was a secure crime scene at the time. Being superintendent doesn't just allow her to bypass that. Also, some might have said that oh she was in traffic, etc. so she couldn't start, but companies use excuses like that to mask the real reasons. Maybe she was on a call with somebody else or consulting with the legal team (which has to make every statement carefully because it can be used in court) and if she told the public the real reason, they'd be even more fearful. It takes a lot to be successful in a big job such as that, so we should root for her efforts to be successful and work with her. Everyone wants to be in the arena -- until they are. If you don't like it so much, get a PhD, teach in the system, and succeed her. |
+1000 Pp there is no point discussing this with the other poster. They proven themselves to be trolling |
She lives in pg. her kids are not eligible for mcps. I am not defending her but to expect her to sell her house and uproot her kid is not fair to that child. |
I think you hit on the correct point. She lives in PG. MCPS schools aren't good enough for her kids. The next time a school gets locked down, hope you don't mind waiting on the street while her police escort fetches her to the press conference? |
| Many of the top leaders in Central Office do not live in Montgomery County. Some new hires have come from PG County administrative positions and still live there. |
No worries about her kid getting kid gloved treatment! |
New information on trip. McKnight went to SC State to get an award. She did not go to recruit. |
Source?? Surely she went to recruit and get an award if that's the case. Even if she only got the award, I'm fine with that, too. Not the end of the world. |
Of course you are ok with everything. You are paid to applaud waste. |
Until recent,y she may not have been able to afford MOCO. Believe it not many cannot afford a million dollar house. |
If she went to get an award she should pay for the trip. |
