Yep. They will be just fine

I have heard from a few parents/kids who went through the process that Loudoun did a great job at trying to pre-screen kids that they were interested in seeing. I would be surprised if they put a less than competitive product on the field next year.

I wonder if Loudoun was able to pick up any of the players who fell off the bottom of FCV GDA rosters?

i know there were FCV players trying out. Heard some even had offers from FCV GDA, but still came out more than couple times. So not sure what decision they have made. Seen girls from other top red level teams trying out. This was for one specific age group, so i can't speak for the other age groups.

They went as a backup plan but it is likely that the FCV girls simply take the EDP roster slots and keep training with the DA team.

I hope for their sake that there is a longer term plan than 1 year because that edp deal sounds alot like another false DP promise.

Hopefully everyone made the right decision, but that is not always the case. I would have liked to see the 02G Red from Loudoun play FCV ECNL team going back to last year.

The 03 and 04 tryouts were well attended. Should be minimal change.

Wait and see on Mclean.....

Some ECNL tryouts were attended as a backup plan . Numbers may be a little off. From what I'm hearing...Mclean is losing players and at least a coach.

Loudoun 04s picked up some eirher leaving or cut from DA's

To my knowledge, not one player offered a DA spot left for a ECNL team. The only DA players that have tried out were all unsure of their status and did so as a backup or they knew they did not make the DA roster.

Of those that did not make the DA roster and tried out for ECNL some may have decided to stay and play on the EDP roster.

As someone earlier said, nobody will know until all the teams meat for the first time late this summer.

Yeah I think thats right. The GDA players that were there may have been forming their backup plans.

Mclean required its players to attend tryouts....will be a net loss after said and done.

I meant "meet" not "meat"

I'm aware of 3 GDA players that are unsure of their status that had offers from Loudoun ECNL.

I've heard something similar. For the 04s, seems there will be player movement back and forth. Some leaving the GDA for ECNL and some leaving the ECNL for the GDA, and seems to be a net status quo. For the younger age groups, it seems to be more net movement toward the DA. For McLean, they have lost a coach. I'm not sure if any of his current players will go with him to the DA or not.

70 pages ago or so somebody listed the spirit coaching staff for next year that had not been released or posted on the website. Is the OP still around to feed information?

Once again, there are no kids leaving GDA for ECNL. There are kids who didn’t make GDA who are going to ECNL but don’t make it sound like they chose ECNL over DA. The choice was made for them.

For every 1 girl that left DA for ECNL there are15 girls who didn't get DA offers and went ECNL.

Speaking of which, I heard Loudoun was handing out offers like it was going out of style.
