Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 2

I graduated a virgin, it was my impression that actually very few in that scene were actually having sex, both boys and girls.

You were at gorsuch's party not kavenaugh's.

So that is what I believe. I believe it happened, that he doesn't remember it. And that instead of saying, 'hey I have drunk alcohol recklessly and I can see in my youth having done something like this and not come close to realizing the magnitude of what I had done' he says, 'I have never blacked out drunk.' He literally cannot conceive of having done this in a drunken stupor. I think he's lying about his drinking. I don't think he's lying about his memory of attacking her. I don't think that person belongs on the supreme court.

This this this. PLEASE don’t confirm this turd.

I know two boys from a prep feeder school who started having sex in 7th grade. By HS, the alpha males/jocks at prep were definitely having sex...or at the very least trying to.

Lol. But sure.

Ford was a great witness and credible, but she doesn’t have any compelling evidence to support her claim. After her testimony everyone thought Kavanaugh was toast. But then Kavanaugh came out with a compelling opening statement, backed up by a little shred of hard evidence (his diaries). But then, with nearly every question he asks, he answers with crazy anger and disrespect to the Senators, and also his answers about high school life are not compelling and he doesn’t come off as truthful.

Bottom line, Ford didn’t make her case but Kavanagh is coming off, at best, as lacking the temperament to be on the SC, and at worst, an angry boozehound rapist.

“Angry boozehound rapist” is the correct summary.

Really loving this

In one side I hate Democrats so something that pisses them off is great

On other side I hate ivy leagues elites. And screwing with them is great

Ford came off as a mental case. Kavanaugh is coming off as a man fighting for his life.

A House of Reps IP address edits 'Devil's Triangle' entry on Wikipedia to include Brett Kavanaugh's claim that it's a drinking game

Because these senators are asking him holier-than-thou questions about drinking when they are all likely guilty of the exact behavior they accuse him of.

Couple differences between a SCOTUS nominee and Senator.
Senators are elected for a 6 year period of time. SCOTUS is a lifetime appointment.

Seems like one’s lifetime conduct is more relevant to their government job than others.

Get real. You think someone's high school drinking habits should dictate whether they're on SCOTUS? Get a life.

The drinking goes to the allegations about his sexual assaults. It's relevant because the women who accused him said alcohol was involved in all of them.

Sexual assault is a crime. Drinking is not, but sexual assault while drinking is, even when you are in high school.

Oh for gosh sakes this has been gone over and over again - a sexual assault that long ago would not have evidence, even if a rape kit was done, it would probably have never been processes. This committee would not allow a proper investigation, or even witnesses to appear at this hearing.

+10000 His sense of entitlement is stunning.

Saddest part of the hearing is revelation by Rachel Mitchell that Dr. Blasey was not given the protocol recommended for victims of sexual assault. She should have been interviewed by a trained person in a calm atmosphere in California. Instead the Senate pulled her into a ridiculous situation ruth at has horrible affected her life. She may not have a political motive, but she has been used terribly for political reasons. Shame on both parties for what they did to her.

Clarence Thomas referred to his high-tech lynching. Dr. Blasey is now the victim of a high-tech rape.

He's not being accused of having sex. He's accused of sexual assault/sexual aggression.

I’m saying if he wanted to have sex, there were girls who would have hooked up. we were that innocent and inexperienced, and it wasn’t happening. Beer was happening ....... but if sex and if assault was common, I never heard about that and I never heard about gang rapes in our circles.
