These menus all sound so delicious. I grew up in a house where Christmas dinner was pretty much a repeat of Thanksgiving, so I am enjoying reading all the alternatives and plan to adopt some next year.

Breakfast is always coffee cake

Gougeres and shrimp cocktail for apps

Dinner
Beef wellington (individual ones from Silver Palate - so much easier than managing one piece)
Roasted brussels sprouts with bacon
Mashed potatoes
Green salad

We're not huge dessert people so will let the kids get into the massive accumulation of cookies and treats in the pantry

Filet mignon probably with a mustard thyme sauce
Homemade Spaetzle with butter
Caprese salad
Green salad

Dessert will be either individual trifles or chocolate lava cakes

Omg as another small family this sounds GOOD

You cannot get crispy roasted potatoes with spray. Go to Whole Foods and get the jar of duck fat.

Still discussing Christmas Eve, but right now I’m thinking:
duck
roasted Brussels sprouts
mashed potatoes
Key Lime Cake & gingerbread

On Christmas Day, we always do fondue

Can't say I'm looking forward to it as I've lost my taste for beef in recent years, but it is the tradition. I do still love the plum pudding, however. If I had my way I'd keep the plum pudding and do a roast leg of lamb or pork.

What’s your crispy English potato recipe?

NP but Emily Blunt’s recipe is good. You can look up the video of her making it with Ina Garten.
