It’s fine if she’s not ready although I feel like they are moving time along in the show as it’s already October apparently. But there just aren’t that many top tier men available that would be interested. That is what I am saying. But she has enough to just discard them left and right. It was more believable twenty or thirty years ago. |
It would be more interesting if they clarified she was just looking for good sex not a new relationship per se. They were headed in that direction with podcast guy, should keep that thread going. |
The problem with the new series is that there's nothing to feel really invested in. I was thinking back to SATC, and the ladies' various heartbreaks were palpable and relatable. It just feels pretty surface with nothing really at stake now. |
You mean the imminent demise of Che Pasa? doesn’t tug at the heartstrings? Who else thinks they might be doing a redirect with Miranda/Nya especially since they were supposed to be paired together originally before Cynthia Nixon demanded Miranda and Che as a couple. I mean with the potential moving in and all. |
I don’t understand the introduction of characters or topics - only to never revisit them: the penis pic sending older lady (loved her), Candace Bergen, Carrie’s book, her lost podcast, tony Danza (why have him at all?), jewelry designer, etc. charlotte’s daughter sings a powerful song and it’s not mentioned again (what she’s going thru) …at least for the next two episodes.
The podcast lady who insisted on the commercial was a terrible actor. The female realtor who never works is terrible, too. Charlotte is stilted and awkward. I also think the sex is over the top now - this one has a or is pump, this one has a dildo, this one has no semen coming out, this one dresses like George Washington, etc. it’s a lot. I do love the diversity of the cast: disabled, different races, etc. |
Well, the actor who plays Lisa Wexley’s husband was the original George Washington in Hamilton on Broadway so that was sort of an Easter egg. |
He was??? Had no idea! |
I agree. My concern is the decision to bring Aiden back will flop and it will turn a lot of us off from the show for good. I think we all would like to see Steve end up happy. |
I can’t stand Miranda as such a weak, fawning, bumbling mess. She’s supposed to be a Harvard educated lawyer, isn’t she? Her character is unbelievable. |
Wasnt it just summer? Now Halloween? |
Yes, before the dichotomy between her high-achieving bad@ss side and her somewhat inept personal side was well done and made her endearing. Now her character is just ridiculous across the board! |
The surfer who lent Miranda his phone is a better actor than Miranda. |
I just watched Episode 4. The threesome scene was so gross. I am so done with Che & Miranda and their heavy breathing, sucking sounds, breast squeezing, murmuring, moaning and middle aged naked flesh. For the love of god, NO MORE. |
Eh. I just watched the threesome scene too. I didn’t think it was a big deal. It was classic Miranda with the leg cramp. And Che didn’t keep going, which was not what I expected from their character. |
I just want to see Steve find happiness again. Such a sexy, nice guy going to waste. |
