Fairfax County Double Murder

Here is what happened.

Defense and Prosecutor entered several pieces of evidence. Including:
- A copy of the chats between CB and JR was entered under seal
- Multiple pictures of the scene were entered, many under seal.

Defense's Argument

- Prosecutor previously "misstated" that AP had bought plane tickets using her passport.
- She actually had used to apply for a work visa and student visa. AP was legally in the country at the time of her arrest with no intention of leaving.
- Prosecutor has not provided any actual evidence of a conspiracy. Just public statements.
- AP was actively dating multiple people, did not deny relationship with BB during police interview, but mentioned she was dating several people.
- Prosecutor overstated extent of JR's incapacitation from first shot. The Medical Examiner stated that there was possibility that JR could see and move.

Prosecutor's Argument

- Prosecutor surprised Defense with a document showing that ICE has asked to be notified if she is release from custody, and they have a warrant for her. He is afraid that if she is released and ends up in federal custody, they will deport her.
- Prosecutor stated that there is no extradition treaty with Brazil, and that the Feds do not have to acknowledge the case's priority. Feds could just deport AP and then the state of VA has no control.
- Prosecutor also argued that she is manipulative and can be manipulated, and therefore still a danger.
- Displayed a picture of JR's body. JR was clutching his stomach on his back
- Mainly re-iterated things said previously at preliminary hearing.
- Mentioned that BB took the 5th on every question during prelim.

Other facts that came out (from chat transcripts and other things referred to by both sides)

- CB and JR communicated using Fetlife and Telegram.
- JR brought up the idea of bringing a knife, CB asked about the details.
- They discussed blood play (cutting)
- CB asked JR, "Do you still want to tear off my clothes? I have a set of old pajamas you can tear"
- A set of ripped pajamas was recovered from the scene
- Pics of a knife, ropes, chains, rubber restraints were sent by JR to CB
- CB took selfie in a bathing suit and sent to husband. A few hours later sent the same selfie to JR with caption: "I sent this to my husband and he didn't even notice I lost 20 pounds"
- Judge questioned about the 45 min phone call over telegram that occurred between CB and JR
- After the phone call, JR texted: "It was great hearing your sexy voice"
- JR wrote that he had only done blood play once before, with razor blades
- CB had several superficial cuts that barely broke the skin
- JR was in the process of cutting CB with BB walked in
- CB wrote "trip to the zoo" on calendar
- CB had multiple lacerations to her neck and carotid artery. Three lacerations to the right side of her neck were the most likely the cause of death
- In the second 911 call, (mentioned but not played) BB is trying to save CB's life by applying pressure

Judge's Decision
Denied bond for two reasons.
- First, that FCPD could lose jurisdiction/control if the Feds take custody and/or deport
- Second, that AP could still pose a risk to community.

This is wild. Still doesn’t prove anything, but it’s looking more likely that CB was talking to JR. If removing pajamas were actually discussed in the chat, and then found in the house. That seems waaay too specific.

And mentioning her husband didn’t notice her. Only a woman would think of writing something like that. Sounds like their marriage was falling apart.

Only a man trying to impersonate a woman would say that. When I initially read that supposed text from CB I thought, “said literally no woman ever”

Spoiled only child. Always got his way. Always had to win.

His mother's IG like she was talking to Christine in heaven, were a bit much, considering the circumstances.

No, he's just a terrible person. Very typical uxoricidal behavior.

See: Scott Peterson, Drew Peterson, OJ Simpson, Alex Murdaugh, Fotis Dulos, Charles Stuart, Chris Watts, etc.

Due to his job BB is smarter about electronic forensics than most.

"In particular, with the ones that are planned, you're really talking about anti-social personalities," he said. "It's all about fulfilling their needs and nothing else matters."

I'm a friend of BB, the one whose posts got deleted a few months ago for mentioning BB's daughters name. I still lurk, just don't post.

I can confirm BB went to McDonald's often, and he was a tech nerd who loved to show off his toys (phones, teslas, etc). He also enjoyed listening and learning about your new gadgetry. As a guy, we just generally like techy stuff.

After CB's death, the entire bedroom had to be rebuilt. To stay busy BB also remodeled his bathroom (I think by himself).

To the best of my understanding he is still getting paid by the IRS and he has taken up a handful of gig jobs to stay busy. The gig jobs also explain the speeding tickets, as one of the jobs was doing uber/lyft, etc. It probably does mean he's under tremendous LEO scrutiny and they are most certainly observing/watching him to lock him up.

The first phone call came from the basement, not the bedroom, and it was the second call where you can hear Joe in the background. I imagine BB asked AP to get the second gun so she could keep it pointed at JR while he administered aid to CB.

CB and BB were in open relationships, I don't know anything about c*cking, but I can confirm for 10 years through mutual friends that they have both been unfaithful. So it should be no surprise that CB was on some sites. Fetish sites though? I don't know, she seemed pretty vanilla but you never know what gets people off in the bedroom.

Getting a new phone and going to a gun range are very normal things for BB to do. Bringing the AP with? Maybe because he was having an affair, maybe she just wanted to learn to shoot, who knows. Maybe it was to get her to train to kill.

Now, all that being said, I still am very on the fence about if he did this or not. There is a part of me that thinks he did, because why would he bring AP/daughter into the house? But besides that, the timeline seems somewhat realistic to me.

BB gets a phone call from AP about an unknown car in the driveway and CB is not answering. He goes home, and tries to assess if CB is with another person. AP calls police, but doesn't know if anything is wrong and hangs up. When he goes inside the bedroom all pets are off. According the bond hearing AP heard BB screaming put the knife down and she ran to the bedroom.

All of this seems plausible, but I don't know the motive from JR, but that doesn't mean there wasn't one. Doesn't mean it wasn't setup from BB or, maybe, AP set the entire thing up.

Let's say AP wanted to get CB & BB divorced, and didn't know that CB was also (knowingly to BB) having affairs. Maybe she is psychotic and thought somehow, given that everybody knows that BB is extremely protective over his family and was a LEO, maybe he'd draw his gun on someone with a knife to his wife which would put an entire scenario on red alert. Maybe it was never her intention to get someone killed, maybe it was to get them divorced in some sick, twisted, stupid manner.

The truth is we don't know what happened. BB isn't saying anything, which is what his lawyer told him to do day 1. "Don't say anything to anyone"

I see your point and I still debate whether he did it or not. It’s surprising for me that he’s working for Uber.
One thing, though: I was in court for the hearing. The call where you can hear a man moaning in the back was the first call, not second. First call that had 3 seconds.

If the first call had 3 seconds of a man moaning and the second call was 10 minutes later, what could BBs explanation be???

No ambulance summoned for his beloved wife with a clotting disorder in all that time? Hmmm...

Have you seen a picture of the safe? Opening that would have taken some time.

Because shooting a blinded incapacitated man was priority over saving his wife's life. Got it.

We don’t know what AP was doing. The fact she tried to call 911 twice and hung up might actually be in her favor. Could just show that she panicked and reacted wildly. If this was pre-planned, I don’t know if we’d have such a confusing story. And BB would have talked to the cops immediately to spin his “tale”, since keeping silent made him look much more suspicious.

Plus a lot of people react weirdly in high stress situations. Maybe BB didn’t realize she hung up the phone if he was busy helping his wife. Which would explain the gap in the timeline. There’s no reason to take more time to “plan” their stories if they already pre-planned a story. They could have just done that while the cops on the way.

Since they went to the gun range together twice, maybe she knew where it was already?

AP’s behavior is truly bizarre.

I believe there was a plan. Things didn’t go according to plan.

Everyone has a plan until they are punched in the mouth.

I believe the only smart thing that bb did was stfu. It doesn’t matter how suspicious police /da are of your actions. The only thing that matters if the case can be proven brd.

Agree. Proving he is the stabber brd without AP will be difficult.

Sowing so much confusion was also somewhat effective. Makes it seem less like a "plan."

If he's on paid leave as a fed is that just indefinite?

You don't yell, take the kid and get out and then call 911?

What responsible parent or caregiver would have taken the child in the home and left her alone? If it was an actual home invasion there could be multiple people.

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

That ambulance can't arrive if you don't call for it, amirite?!

Actually, this reminds me a bit of the Orsolya Gaal case with her side piece David Bonola being the murderer while the husband was out of the house.

But there was a 911 call.

But if he was, there should be evidence, no? Easy for me to say as the armchair forensics expert (ahem), but I did not think it was difficult to identify stabbers, especially when le is immediately on the scene.

Has more of a Chris Watts vibe to me. BB is better at shutting up though.

Has anyone on here socialized with him and AP since the murders? Wondering how that worked socially and what the vibe was, can't really imagine.
