My dh was needled into outrage by his brother growing up because his brother likes to see him upset. My brother in law has several mental disorders and my dh does not want him near us and our children. And my dh feels he was abused directly by his brother growing up, and indirectly by his parents for allowing it to happen.

DP but it's so interesting how we have different views on this. My husband blames me for setting off his anger, which he can't control sufficiently (yelling loudly to upset kids, throws stuff though doesn't hit us). When Heard was testifying about feeling like she had to walk on eggshells around him so as not to upset him, I understood that because saying one wrong thing, unintentionally, can totally set him off.

But I would also never dream of saying some of the insulting things Heard said to Depp.

I can also totally understand being fed up with the hypocrisy of Depp and his addiction -- being completely out of control and letting his money clean up all of his messes; saying he would stay clean and not staying clean; getting mad at me for sex scenes in movies I didn't do, and not wanting me to do sex scenes at all ... wut, I am a grown-ass woman and not some concubine in feudal times, I am allowed to have a career and do whatever scenes that entails. Meanwhile he's getting his movie lines fed to him by an earpiece because he can't function well enough to remember extensive dialogue. They should have split up long before they did. I think Monster Depp was pretty awful and while I wouldn't talk to my husband like that, I wouldn't love that version of him, either. It would be hard not to show that.
