While it appears that Iran does not yet have a nuclear weapon, we know they desperately want one and likely have the capacity to make one rather quickly. They also have and were getting more ballistic weapons that can reach Europe and could get some that could reach the US in the future.

And, almost 50,000 killed in Vietnam. We want no soldiers killed, but it could be here if Iran gets the weapon. They funded much of the terrorism in the Middle East, here, and in Europe.

This is not the same.

And, John Kerry's Congressional testimony at the time was way, way out of line. He may have been brave during his three or four months there, but he literally threw it all away when he returned. He was following the JFK model--but he was no JFK. Irony, that JFK also played a role in our activity in Vietnam.

There’s no evidence that Iran was suddenly closer to having a nuke than they were six months or a year before Trump arbitrarily decided to launch an illegal war.

You are willing to take that risk. How close do they have to get for you to change your mind?

Then make the case to the Congress and the American people before you start bombing girls schools. We used to have laws in this country, but people like you seem to want to ignore them for Trump, a habitual liar.

Looks like Trump has surrendered to Iran. No nuclear deal, no free transit of the strait, Iran controls the strait, fees will be assessed, restrictions on long range strikes, sanctions removed, neither Iran or Israel will stop proxies, 6 billion in released funds, good chance of reparation, etc.

Right wing pro Israeli types are freaking out.

The Iranians think nuclear weapons are amoral. They have had the capabilities to make and deliver a nuclear for over 35 years. They have not made one. Iran does not pose any threat to the United States.

It is much more likely Israel will use a nuclear bomb vs Iran developing a nuclear weapon. You people are so discredited.

If this is a case, then it is a total capitulation by Trump. What a loser.

The JCPOA was working just fine. Oh well.

So you agree there was no new evidence to justify starting the war. If that’s the case, why did Trump wait so long to start it? Seems pretty negligent if the danger has been the same since the first day of his term.

According to Iran’s Fars News, Iran has rejected Trump’s claim that the Strait of Hormuz would return to its pre-war status.

Saying Tehran would still control transit routes, permits, and passage timing under any future agreement.

NYT reporting that a proposed Trump-backed memorandum with Iran would reportedly release $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets.

So Obama released $1.6B in iranian interest to get the JCPOA done and Trump is apparently going to pay Iran $25B to open the Straits of Hormouz, which were already open before the war.

Art of the deal, right?

He’s survived all types of shameless scandals in his country. He’s a bribery and corruption magnet. His wife is also insufferable. Before 10/7 and the castration of Haaretz, Israeli media was very harsh on Mr Netanyahu. He’s also a deadbeat dad to a super orthodox daughter that he does not acknowledge. The wife allegedly doesn’t want him to acknowledge the first child. Netanyahu is just like Trump. Unfortunately, they’re both invincible to consequences and they don’t fear being called war criminals. No wonder they get along

If we were so afraid of them developing a nuclear weapon, how come we killed their religious leader who had issued a fatwah against developing nuclear weapons?

They should have co-opted a president with a longer attention span.

Translated from Persian by Grok
Fars News

“It should be noted that American officials have acknowledged in multiple messages to Iran that Trump's tweets are primarily for promotional purposes and media consumption within the United States, and they have recommended that no attention be paid to these statements.”

In other words, Trump just posts to rile up his idiotic base.
