He’s obviously got a very fragile constitution so this is the best case scenario. If there are any secret underage boyfriends or abused exes out there, now is your time to be a hero. |
The were giving her a lawful order to get out of the vehicle. The wife tried to get in the car so they both could leave. The driver sped away leaving her wife on the street because she was trying to hit the ICE agent with her car. |
It doesn’t look like they plan to leave until the wife starts yelling DRIVE as one officer has hands in/on her car door telling her to get out and the other is walking in front of her car. The wife isn’t even in the car…so no, it isnt apparent they were about to leave until she suddenly starts driving. The officer on the other side looks like he is getting dragged. It wasn’t just the one in front in danger |
Correct. Anger is safe, and somewhat paradoxically, focusing everything into anger makes you feel more powerful, not less -- not like sadness, fear, or anxiety. |
I prefer it when they despair themselves (and only themselves) to death. Trash taking itself out. |
You are suggesting she deserved to die. Please see Dean Withers breakdown on IG showing her car vis-a-vis his body. He also called her “a effing b” after he shot her point blank. |
Sometimes you express condolences out of an actual sense of loss, and sometimes it is quite perfunctory. |
No one was in any danger except the woman who had guns pointed at her. They were so flustered and incompetent they couldn’t even agree on what she was supposed to do. |
ICE has no authority in the enforcement of traffic laws, therefore they were NOT giving her a “lawful” order. |
Really? where is the footage where they arrived and deliberately parked the car blocking PART of the street? "Attitude" is a very slippery claim to make. Someone else said she was snide. Competent law enforcement leadership trains its people to disregard foul language (which neither she nor her wife used) and tone of voice is easily misinterpreted. How about she was trying to de-escalate the agents? |
You’re a liar. |
Can you point out what specific part of the video shows here trying to hit the agent? |
According to NBC’s analyst of the most recent video, yes she was obligated to follow the command to get out of the car. |
Because the women seemed a bit joking. “I’m not mad at you, dude” said with a smile seconds before she was executed. They misjudged how angry and violent the men were. They may have been trying to defuse the situation. Obviously they weren’t in a rush to flee because she waved cars on, probably to let her wife get in the car. The car she waved on was more ICE and they rushed the car. |
Police are supposed to act like professionals. Whether she came across as snide or with an attitude is completely irrelevant. COMPLETELY irrelevant. Anyone disagreeing with that does not understand professionalism in the workplace. |
